Hi, ive just started making an adventure game and i need a decent program to make backrounds on. Anyone know any programs that are good?
Why are there two posts for this?
And this isn't the right forum ;)
But to answer, Photoshop.Ã, That's expensive ... folks 'round these parts seem to recommend The Gimp.Ã, Might want to check it out.
for some reason i thought it didnt make my other post but when i made this one it had made it ??? anyways you reckon macromedia fireworks would be good? well considerin i thought that this was about game annoucnements/in production, and im making a game i thought it was the right place :D
Theres a stickey for this.... anyways
The Gimp
Paint
DeluxePaint
Ultimant Paint
Psp
Photoshop
Pixia
3dSMax
... or Blender. But for any 3d program you need to combine with a 2d app of course for texturing.
I believe the learning version of Maya is free, but renders with watermarks. If it were me, and I hated modelling in Blender but didn't want to pirate, I'd download Maya Learning Version and port the files to a free renderer like Yafray or Blender. Somewhat dishonest though.
Cheers. So, my game is about a pirate who gets stuck in the wizard age by sum demonic domino player. Bit cheesy, isn't it :D. But i think the end product will be good :d well accept the backgrounds cuz i cant draw :(. I envy people who can draw. Anyone wanna help me :D
