2. Post in a mature manner. Remember, the minimum age here is 16 - if you're unable to act that age, don't post.

Whilst we appreciate that you're excited to be on these forums, you need to realise that the forums do not revolve around you, and that over-posting at the rate that you are doing is getting in the way of normal forum discussions.

Before you press the "Post" button, just ask yourself whether if somebody else made the post that you're about to do, would you want to read it?

there are two users at my forums, and only people from the ags forums know of it now, and these people have been swearing at me and saying the game is crap and it sucks and putting obsene pictures on them.

We understand that. But part of being respected in any community is acting maturely. Hell, I've talked to 10 year olds online that acted so mature I thought they were older than me. So it's not you, or your personality. It's just how you act on these forums that affects what people think.

But you aren't good with AGS (I have played your game), and you're breaking forum rules repeatedly. And for some reason people are saying things like "lay off him". Which I agree with to a point. well, i didnt tell my friend about it yet, ive only posted about it here, so It has to be someone from here. It wouldnt have been some randon guy because since my forum's address is a subdomain and has no 'www' it cnat be found while searching on google etc.

If the kid says that his forums have just been advertished here, it' s very likely that the spammer has been one of us. Come on, AGS is not the Vatican, some members can act like jerks, maybe you, maybe me... we' re in a friendly atmosphere and sometimes we can' t piss it off for not messuring the words. If you push that fact a little then you have a member spamming porn, I don' t think it' s so unlikely...

Maybe it' s been an intentonal act of a dork, or a failed joke by a "normal" member... I don' t see the point of denying that it' s probably that it' s been us.

On the other hand, Neelhound, this "respect Quest" you have started won' t succed. It never did. We had hundreds of newbies who came here like you, thinking "Oh, I am so cool that, as soon as this guys know me, they' re going to love me! I am going to post here and there, no matter if the post makes sense, I rock so much that this guys will fall in love to me with just some drops of my amazing personality", but what "the regulars" really think is "This n00b is annoying".

Which is a pitty because some of this "n00bs" finally ended as good members. They just needed a bit of patience. In addition, they had to work the double to earn this respect because the first impression they gave was bad...

So, you choose... Start the scoreboard with 0, and go summing a goal each week or 2 each month, by maturelly and patient posting, or start it with -20 keeping your actual attitude.

So, it could have been the same jerk who seen your link to your forum and decided to spam over there as well.

Or it could have been just some random spamming idiot looking for any and all forums they can find to try to spam.

But of course if it was some regular member of the AGS community that did that, then I agree that it's a pretty low thing to do.

Neelhound: just relax a bit, don't be too "over eager" to make new threads about every idea that pops into your head, observe things 'round here for a bit, get a hang of things, and I'm sure you'll fit in with the AGS community no problem.
