Has anyone been selling games they made with AGS?

Lol, Babar :)

Yes, for quite some time.
Examples:

EDIT: Err... does this count as commercial ads?

Not when you aren't directly affiliated with either ;) But someone will assume you are.... There was a thread with a list of all (or a lot) of AGS commercial games but I can't find it anymore.

But other examples include

www.midian-design.com
http://www.desura.com/games/conspirocracy

and various other AGS games sold through Desura, FireFlower Games and other distributors.

And there are probably many more examples that haven't been mentioned yet!

I thought the question was if there were any enjoyable AND profitable commercial AGS games? (laugh)

Joking. BTDT & TGP were likely the most successful in terms of quantity and pleasure (for me anyway), but the price was set so damn low.

I call that a strategy. Sell few expensive copies, sell many cheap ones... should level out somewhere! I bought the BTDT doublepack about four times already, but only ever TWO Resonances.

My problem with commercial games is not that I have to pay for them, but that I have to register on a site first, give them my credit card information,...
If I could just pay with paypal without registering on yet another site I'd probably buy more games...

Yeah, that was part of it. Plus it possibly meant our reviews were more generous, and games like Fate Of Atlantis were available for around that price, too. Dan has said since, though, that perhaps he should have decided on a higher initial price point because you can always lower it, but never raise it!
