Aight, so, here's the deal. I'm going to move to work in Spain for 6 months in 1,5 weeks, ie the 19th of June. I don't want to be selling my computer since I'll only be there for half a year, BUT I can't take it with me, it's too big.
So I came to the conclusion I should buy a laptop of somekind. Now the problem is, I'm in a hurry, don't know anything about laptops etc. I should need one that can handle AGS and have enough room for my photos and some illegal music perhaps. I don't really play games, but I do watch videos etc. Well, just, I need one with internet card, a DVD drive(burning), and the means to do my daily business, you know, the basic.
So I figured, people here know everything, it's such a wide community. I wondered if someone here could give me advice on what sort of a laptop should I look for, or even give me and example. By the Way, it can't cost too much, I'm poor.
So, if this is clear enough please help, if not, please ask. thank you!
you should check out Dell, they have a small range of cheap fairly decent laptops...
or if you want to save some money you could ship your PC out to where you'll be staying seperately....
Look for something post 2002 on ebay, and it will do all you really need. Mine is a IBM thinkpad circa 2000, and it can run ags, it can play dvds and other cool stuff. The model I have has cooling issues, so dont buy a T20. But i think anyhting past 2002 should be fine.
Desktop computers come cheaper. Take your hard-drive to Spain, and when you're there get yourself a nice desktop!
I guesss you wouldn't be interested in: http://www.apple.com/macbook/macbook.html
And yes. you can install Windows on it.
yeah, that's too expensive.
But thanks guys, I'll take a look. I'm in a bit of a hurry with this now :(
I really don't know any European brands. And I like expensive stuff... :P
Dell makes pretty good stuff, and it's cheap. Dunno if they have them in Finland, though.
