That's awesome.

The guys who make Marble Hornets are actually based in the South East USA and I've run into them at a few conventions I've exhibited at. They're really cool guys, the most goofy three college kids you could ever meet.

They actually filmed them in my town. I had to stop watching them, creeped me out too much. Slender Man is too scary. :(

You're in the Tuscaloosa area? I grew up there. Small world. : }

Doesn't look bad, this is the kind of horror that I really like. I'd be interested to know what exactly they do differently to Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Because if it's the same thing except for the writing and voice acting, then I wouldn't be too interested after all.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent's fear based gameplay seems to use the same elements that the slender man game does.
That said I only played through 3/4 levels of Amnesia.

Amnesia plays the same all the way through - close doors, run away, turn the light on and off. The puzzles are the only elements that differentiate particular segments.

Well, there's a really strong story underneath Amnesia: The Dark Descent. That and the puzzles keep it going, just like any other normal point-and-click adventure game, in my opinion.

Well, there's a really strong story underneath Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

The puzzles were a most welcome addition (unspectacular as they are), but I found Amnesia's story rather weak. Just as its choice of title.

The main problem is lack of anything unique and defining. All the supernatural mysteries concerning the game's mythos are left as vague as they were at the beginning - mostly it's just some inter-dimensional creatures killing off people who touch ancient artifacts. The amnesia effect is really nothing more than the cliched device to create a player character without any prior knowledge about what's going on. Also, certain extreme (really extreme) actions conducted by the main character don't fit at all with his previously established persona.
