Whoa, I just saw this movie today. Let me tell ya, scary as hell! I have all of the lights on in my house! I literally was shaking in my seat. The movie itself wasn't very good plot wise, but I nearly peed myself. And I laughed durring Silence of the Lambs, I thought that was hilarious. Good bye "The Ring", hello "The Grudge". Anybody else see this movie?

I haven't yet, but I plan to.
From what I've seen (previews/trailers) it looks pretty creepy. And I love creepy movies.
Good to know somebody who laughed at Silence of the Lambs thought it was scary ... that gives me hope! I haven't been actually scared at a movie in a LONG time!
Its not just jump out and scare you scary. Everything makes you tweaky. I'm still looking over my shoulder every 5 seconds and I saw it over 3 hours ago
Shudder, I remember the time I was scared of ghosts (unexplained stuff). From that point on, I was aware of everything. Most of the time Sarah Michelle Gellar doesn't look like what I usually see (uh, hehe, Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
The original, 'Ju-On', gave me heebie-jeebies. I'm planning to see this one aswell.
It's been a while when I saw a good horror movie.
I remember the last time I saw one I was too scared to go to the toilet...wich wasn't so good... :P
Well.. It is a terribly creepy movie. It's better than "The Ring" hands down, but it DOES have the same plot of the Ring.. Except.. Instead of a tape it's a house. It even has the same long, black-haird crazy girl killing people... which, to my knowledge, is sort of a common scary-type thing in Japanese culture.. So I can't say it's a ripoff.
I have to say I jumped a few times.. But the Americanized features of loud, tense music building up the suspense just gave most of the jumps away. The sound the girl made sounded like a burp to me.. But it was still quite scary.
I guess I was creeped out.. Especially in the elevator part.. heh.
No more spoilers. This movie is at least worth the 8 bucks to see it.
I might go see it.
Judging from the commercials, it didn't really look that scary.
Except for that clip of the pale kid meowing like a cat, now that was wierd.
I've had the Japanese version of this film sitting on my shelf for about a year, but I haven't ever gotten around to watching it. Maybe I should do that one day. I watched a bit, it seemed OK, but just another horror movie, and I'm not a huge horror flick fan.
Has anyone seen both versions? Any comments on which is better?
