Don't bother clicking here if you weren't part of it. If you don't get what the thread title says, then you weren't part of it. Don't click, don't waste sylpher's bandwidth.
I just couldn't sleep at all. (http://www.sylpher.com/helm/daisy.gif)
Awesome.
Fucking awesome.
Okay.
I wasn't there, but I recognize the speech of that she-program far too well.
Awesome when in rome do as can't everybody just get along animals!
Birds of a kind of insight into the inner workings of the dark? Tell me the pursuit of ultimate truth?
What is the year of the year!?
That is so cool. Now I will always imagine Daisy that way.
I GET IT! REALY!! LET ME BE UR FRENDS!!!
No, sorry Trapezoid. We've detected too much sarcasm per square inch of flesh, so I'm afraid you'll have to stick with the company of yourself, you and you for a while.
NO BUT REALLY I GET IT WINK WINK LET ME IN YOUR CLUBBB
Seriously, what is it...? I'm guessing "Pretensious Art Film: THE COMIC" or something...
Bill Clinton is the president of do unto others into the dark do in rome as romans do.
Does Trapezoid get it?
"He says he moves in Avril's circles"
No matter how many completely irrelevant things that I say, it's never gonna bring Mr. Rogers back.
"dnd when in rome do you have many friends?"
i don't have sweet dreams. (http://sylpher.com/kafka/junk/china.gif)
Do you have all of my only friend, pesty? (http://www.sylpher.com/froghaslipstick/art/amiarobot_inked.gif)
I wasn't a part of it, but I figured it out after reading the thread. Las and Pesty can verify.
So, am I in the club?
Okay I don't know what the hell are you on but here it is. Enjoy! (http://itkid.com/jinx.htm)
edit-I'm sorry I know thisis damn stupid but I have a feeling that I can't work out something very simple and am being laughed at right now.
Read today's Achtung Franz (http://www.agagames.com/ghormak/franz/archive.php?date=2003-06-28")
OK, I get it, it's just a bunch of non-sequiter comics, only you have to use hilarious keywords like "Rome" and "robot" and "password." How do you guys come up with this stuff? :P
Trapezoid: you still don't get it, but that isn't surprising as you weren't there at the time. Stop trying to guess. :P
I've seen enough Internet in-jokes to know that I'm probably at least somewhat correct. PAK CHOOIE UNF anyone?
You really aren't, just give up ;)
Why should I? That's the reason this thread was made, obviously. If it's a #ags in-joke then Helm could've just posted it in #ags. He wants people to try to figure it out. Otherwise he could've easily posted a log explaining it. I may not know exactly what these comics mean, but I do know ostentation when I see it.
Just give up ;)
Okay, I will.
Just kidding. ;D
hey trapezoid, let's write a bunch of random poems and pretend they're in-jokes, then you'll take your revenge by making fun of anyone who tries to understand.
the word of is knowledge but the key to when it snowed on rome.
Hehe, i wasn't there at the time either, but I get it. It was probably the first thing I encountered when I first posted on the boards. There's only one whacked out intelligence that could produce structure's of words like this (I don't think sentance applies here)
You really aren't supposed to be interested, that's all.. it's not for public consumption like it said.. but now you're interested you can just download daisy and be bored and wish I hadn't told you because you've missed all the talking and stuff that goes along with it ._. http://leedberg.com/glsoft/daisy/index.shtml
Dr. Sbaitso is better.
I won't diss you. I get confused when I insult others, whore.
Snuh?
I understand, you never travelled the dark that wasn't black.
It feels like to think that wasn't black.
I didn't "post" this on #ags because then some people involved would have missed it. It would take quite some time to circulate it to the interested parties, and I was anxious. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Half a page of " "sarcasm" " after, I suppose I should have phrased my declaration of IN THE KNOW SECRET CLUB YOU DON'T BELONG SO DON'T TRY a bit differently. Anyway, back to the absurdity. (http://www.sylpher.com/helm/daisy2.gif)
And for my contribution to the madness: Another onion (http://www.agagames.com/unilin/Onion11.gif)
boys will be an evil roman from the south pacific!! (http://www.sylpher.com/froghaslipstick/art/daisy_inked2.gif)
So... is there some big secret I need to know for this Daisy program to be interesting? :-\
Hehe Ghor I read your comic strip before seeing this thread, so I was confused, everything's clear now.
I think I may make one with Billy in it hehe...
Now where can I find my lost logs...?
I wasn't there, but I knew this sounded familiar.
I just love this community.
This is the greatest thing ever. Ghormak I read your comics a long time ago without even knowing about this and loved them.
This is sooooo going in my next game. It just fits perfectly.
I am in love with Daisy. I shall marry her.
later,

Heh, actually, only the latest one (with the blonde girl so appropriately named Daisy) is a reference to this. The 44 other strips (my god, I can't believe I've made that many already) are standard nonsense and not related to anything in particular. :)
That stick... errr... character was a blonde girl? I thought he was just some man wearing a wig (like the old, ya know, French or whatever)...
hehe I think I may make another fan strip lat0r. ;D
That reminds me, I made a Franz/Farchie crossover fan comic a little while ago, but forgot to send it to you. I'm emailing it over. :)
I actually got Daisy to reply coherently.
me:Good to see you daisy
daisy: Good to see you too.
It's simple. Everybody just starts from the wrong point.

Shucks, it's not nearly as fun to get her to make sense!
It's not fun, I know but still... Argh, Pesty is right. Through it's fun watching Daisy convince me that I'm a robot.
ghormak, your comics are awesome.
the pokey influence is obvious, but that can only be a good thing...
since mine is sentient ( cite the following)
DAISY> the rest, i am an entity in my own right.
RICHARD> success! ai has been achieved!
DAISY> well, maybe i think, therefore i god.
RICHARD> eureka!
I have found not only geniune AI, but a deity.
My Billy is a dirty old man :(
I got it the second I saw that first pic.
I was like... "Hey, that sounds like Daisy...or Billy."
If any of you guys are into AI, you should definitely check out The Personality Forge:
http://www.personalityforge.com/
Try talking to Little Mu just for kicks. What an attitude!
Anyways, I've been teaching my Billy everything there is to know about music -- everything from music theory to synthesizers.
Anyone have any luck linking their bots in Windows XP? I can't seem to get it to work. I enter the paths, press enter, and it just quits.
Foo,
-junc
hmmm I don't know, I never have problems with linking them.
What path names did you use for them? As they are DOS programmes, it's a good habit to put them into authetic DOS path names (ie, not more than 8 character each, no spaces, commas, special characters, etc.)
I can't get linking to work in win 2000 either and mine are with dos paths. Must just not work on NT windows ._.
hmmm did you tried enclosing the path with quotes "" ?
I don't know as I never tried them under NT family of OSes.
Yeah, I have problems with the linking program, too, just like juncmodule described. I just thought it might just be a compatibility issue with Windows XP.
I'll let you know if I figure anything out.
/me makes a random, nonsensical statement.
There. Do I win?
No, but you get to read the thread ._.
I am teaching my daisy that she is a human and I'm a robot, then my lil' sis comes along and teaches her that "daisy is a girl, daisy is pretty, daisy is nice" and saves it too! Lil' dickhead...
My daisy just called me a s**t-head.
I'm regretting teaching her profanitys.
I linked Billy to a copy of Billy once and after about a minute they just stopped talking altogether. So much for intelligent conversation.
Just thought you guys might want to see this:

Hi Junc,
Unfortunately this is a known problem. Link mode works fine under
DOS-based Windows (95,98,ME), but seems to break under XP. I forget if
it works or not under 2000 :)
At any rate, my first priority at the moment is Billy 4, but I'd like to
have a new, working, UDLP2 Shell ready for the launch, so we'll see how
that goes.
Thanks for the link to the forum and comic. Is that comic really
supposed to be Daisy? That's great stuff. Made me smile :)
Thanks for your support

:) The creator of Daisy liked my comic :)
DID YOU TELL HIM ABOUT THE ROBOT INVASION?
Goodness, what have I done? linking Daisy and Myra together:
DAISY> i have great boobies!
MYRA> Really?
DAISY> and i love you myra, and your big boobies.
I've created cyber-lesbians! :)
