Title: welcome to the kindergarten forum
Post by: petaglair on Fri 13/06/2003 14:20:21
i recently discovered that the famous trapezoid is only 14 years old for about 3 years.
My mentor Las naranjas according to the pics i saw wouldn't be more than 8 or 9 yo.
What's next...Will you tell me that Chris jones is too young to reach the keyboard and that his mother created AGS??!!
Nobody seems to realise there is something wrong on this forum...Wake up people if we don't do anything this cursed forum will turn evryone of us into spermatozoids

Well... I have understood that Chris is surprisingly young, 24  (younger than me) which seems difficult to imagine seeing what he has build from nothing (Teh AGS empire, ta-Chan!)

On the other hand... What is the problem whit young people? If their posts are mature and they give good oppinions and make good games, there´s no matter for me.

I suppose you were kidding seeming so worried about the age of the AGSers...

I can assure you that Las Naranjas isn't 8 or 9. I just gave birth to him only a couple of years ago, he can't be more than 3 or 4. (Actually he is 17 or 18). And what does it matter the age of the community here. Trapazoid, from my take on him, has shown himself to be a very mature 14. As long as the people who are young don't act their age, I'm fine with them.

But we went through the spermatozoids years ago. That's before Chris was Castrated, Cursed not to have children he had only one thing left to do. Create an Adventure Game editor.

I have a theory about that burning issue

See it is well know that playing videogames prevent the brain from evolving and the muscles from developping resulting in the fact that players stop growing up....

Now imagine a program that allow people to CREATE a videogame...
I know you are in your way to understand what i mean... :-X
If playing stops your development maybe...mmaybe creating a video game would make you develop
BACKWARDS!!!!!! :o

I wasn't on this forum for months so that could explain why i'm still an adult now

scary!

The games would probably prevent the muscles evolving... But I do 20,000kms each year pedaling, that could work as an antidoth?

BTW, congratulations for your puberty.

Edit: Eeer... I am not trying to be rude, but...Do you think that telling that you are now a man and we all are inmature guys for being in the AGS community is a good way to say, "Hello, I´m back!"?

No that won't work as an antidote...but maybe you could try pedaling 40 000 kms backwards to reverse this fatal process.

MMMmm strange i feel like playing some lego...i didn't have this feeling for years... ???

Bad news very young fellows!!

I just discover that Millsjross is a male
When i was on the forum some months ago i was pretty sure he was a girl

So maybe the forum doesn't only turn adults into babies but also turns girls into males

what's next god, what's next?

Hehe as Farlander says, it's not age that's important, but maturity.

Having said that, I was intruiged to find out what the average age on this forum is. So, I did a query on the database and graphed it in excel:

This is based off the 300 people who have entered an age in their profile (and removing the stupid entries like people pretending to be 200).

So, this should be quite a representative sample of the forum as a whole, assuming that most people told the truth about their age in their profile.

this graphic looks like a kiddy drawing

CJ what if if people pretending to be 200 weren't pretending and really were 200?

That would mean that some people are on this forum for more than maybe a CENTURY!!! :o

Long before the ags editor has even be released
maybe they are 200 year olded babies :-X

aaaaaaAAAAAAA i'm totally scared now
what kind of community did I join?

i'm a big kid at times and it shows, but an adult when i need to be, i like to think i treat everyone the same regardless of age. some teens have taught me a lot here.

omg lol im soo not 14

Actually, I'm almost 17. But Salon.com interviewed me when I was 14. So yeah, the Internet's been saying that the "animutation guy is only 14" for quite some time now.
Kinda like how some people think the Olsen twins are still toddlers. And I bet Macaulay Culkin could get laid alot more if people knew he was of legal age.

What I'm amazed by is the slight hump around 45.  What makes this forum especially appealing to the 45 age bracket and not the 47 or 43?

I'm off to reap the benefits of a game specifically geared towards 45 year olds.  Marketing genious here I come!

Legal age of drinking. Well, in most places at least. Then when they sober up they come back.

The 18 and 45 things are probably just random coincidence. If you did the stats at a different time there would probably be a couple quirks in different places.

Oopsies.
Technically, I put in well over 600 years old.
Really, though, I'm in the last weeks of being 13.
I wish I was older though.
Some day...

ok i'm jokin
i like young people they are our future... well if only they moved their ass a bit and find a job because i'm tired of paying these damn handyphone bills not to mention the internet we lived very well without all these modern stuff, we worked with father at the store then we went out playing soccer with friends we had no ball to play but we were happy anyway,no need of these chinese things like internet or stupid electronic games!!!! >:(

I thought that too at first, but then if you look at the scale of the graph, there are 25 people aged 17 and 24 aged 18 - just one of those random things and with a bigger sample (which we'd have if everyone filled in their real age :P ) it would come out in the wash.

Its funny you should mention that dip around 18 coz when I turned 18, I basically gave up AGS for ages. Music distracted me. Back now, though.

According to that graph, I'll be leaving shortly and won't be back for another 15 years, I guess that'll give me time to create a family, maybe my kids will reintroduce me.

I just read this thread, and it was kinda entertaining
