What's your game?

A long time ago it used to be America's Army, and I had loads of fun with that. Then I moved on to Counter-Strike: Source, which I have been stuck on for the past 2 years. Along the way, I've also played a little of The Ship, Insurgency MOD, and Hidden, each of which had its own strengths and fun qualities. Currently though, I'm only playing CS:S and Team Fortress 2.

Regarding Counter-Strike Source: Yes, it is a boring game and I would consider AA to be a better game. However, if you can find a good server, which is no easy task, CS becomes infinitely more fun, as you can do all sorts of crazy stuff that I can't begin to describe (custom maps=fun).
Team Fortress 2: I was ambivalent about it, but over time, I've learned to love it. Team Fortress 2 is a team game, and as such you need to play on a server where everyone is communicating and working together. When that happens, it's the most fun you'll ever have. The game can be extremely frustrating, yes, but it can also be extremely fun and rewarding.

Yeah, I play Tetris on my mobile phone if I'm on the bus and my mp3 player has ran out of power.

There are no games I'll play to death really. Being in a shop where you can borrow preowned games means theres always another game asking to be played. There are games that I'll come back to after a few years of not playing, and thats generally adventure games.

What about games that more like updates rather than new games? This could mean Tiger Woods or Pro Evo soccer, but for me I'm talking about Tenchu and Dynasty Warriors. The gameplay never changes, the graphics are always last gen feeling, but I still buy them when they come out, trading in the last one as it's usually redundant now.

Deus Ex 1 and 2 have been replayed loads of times. I want to play Deus Ex again as I've only ever played the ps2 version which is smaller I'm told, and has more loading screens.

Domino

I love all kinds of games, but i keep going back to Bespelled.  It's a lot of fun and very challenging.

Nothing beats having a bunch of flaming tiles at the bottom of the board and trying to make up words just so you don't lose.

Plus it is good for your brain.  :)

bicilotti

Mhhh, Death Rally, Super Mario Bros, 7 Days a Skeptic, Civilization/Master of Orion and... well, that's it.

Die Siedler/The Settlers/Serf City, what ever you call it. You must know this, a classic, I usually just play the 1st and 2nd part of this 4 game series.

Yeah, one of my absolute favorites is the 2nd game (3&4 aren't worth mentioning). There are actually 6 games, the last one just came out. I'm playing through 5 right now.

Did you ever get past the mission with the Chinese and Japanese and something? It seems almost impossible when you run out of every resource and the others just bang you with catapults.

If i'm really honest I have to confess I hardly play games anymore... I don't have the time.  And when I do have the time I waste it on the net doing nothing instead of playing games.  Gaming used to be my first love, but I've completely lost touch.. I played a Wii for the first time about 2 weeks ago...

One game I will go back to time and time again, though, is Tetris... that doesn't really need an accompanying anecdote or explanation... it's Tetris.

Pinball Dreams/Fantasies/Illusions (Amiga), Maniac Mansion (c-64), Star Trek: 25th Anniversary (PC), and Quest for Glory 1-4.  I go back to these games every so often and replay them mainly because I'm dissatisfied with most newer games.

Haaa, I spent a lot of time on Pinball Fantasies on my 500+. Souvenirs, souvenirs... I also like Master Blaster, Twinz Pro and Battle Isle ! Ah, and what about Power Monger ! Those are games I can play over and over again.

My absolute favourite is Sid Meier's Civilization II. I'm not good at this kind of game but still... I love this one.

I assume you're talking about the 2nd game? To be honest, I never got that far ;D
I usually just start at the beginning every time I get back to the game and watch them little guys run around. I never got beyond the first wasteland mission :P

Civ2! Yeah, great game. And Colonization. Different, but much fun nonetheless.

Babar

Colonization! That is my game, insofar as I have a game. Every few years I go at it hardcore for about 12 hours at a time, and usually end up getting a fruit or vegetable named after me.

Either that, or minesweeper :D
The ultimate Professional Amateur

Now, with his very own game: Alien Time Zone

DoorKnobHandle

FPS: Counter-Strike (version 1.5, that's the best one), Unreal Tournament (UT99 & UT2k3), Quake 3

RTS: StarCraft

OTHER: Free Rider 2, Bubble Buster (all versions of this game - you know, where you can shoot a colored bubble into a field of bubbles above and have to match at least three colors next to each other for the bubbles to pop)

I'll refrain from picking games i played in my youth alot and just pick some from my (somewhat) newer library. Games I played and replayed the last few years for me would be world of warcraft, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War (and expansions) The elder scrolls: Oblivion and neverwinter nights I and II. And as of late I got back into the FPS genre again with the release of Team Fortress II. That game just pushes all the right buttons :)

And then some console and handheld games like Grand Tourismo 3 and monsterhunter freedom series

Concept shooter. Demo version 1.05

MYKAYEL

For a time it was Narutimate Accel, but since December 25 2007, I became addicted to Narutimate Accel 2.
Also play a lot of Gundam SEED Destiny : Rengou Versus Zaft II Plus, Astral Masters, and I search for lots of survival horror, I finish at least one survival horror every month or so like the "Zero" series (some may know it as Fatal Frame or Project Zero), Silent Hill and Biohazard (also known in the US as Resident Evil), Forbidden Siren...well, you get the ideea. ;)

Inkoddi

Prince of Persia. It was my first computer game ever and quite brilliant.
Back when I was three years old I couldn't even get past the first level, but nowadays I'm able to finish it in under half an hour.
There's also BlockOut (which is sort of a 3D version of tetris), Street Rod, Commander Keen, Stunts, The Incredible Machine and Lemmings 2 - The Tribes.
I can play all of these for hours on end without getting bored.

nihilyst

The Colonel's Bequest; the atmosphere get's me everytime I play it ...
Counter-Strike

ThatOneChick87

I don't really play any of the new console games. I'm just not that into them.

I love adventure games like the Trilby series of games, Out of Order, Nathan's second chance, Prodigal, Case of the crabs, brain hotel, That Night Before (All 4 Games in the series), and probably some others that I can't think of right now.

I also love playing older games like (thank heavens for emulators  8)) Super Mario World(My Favorite), Super mario bros. 3, and Sonic the hedgehog

oO and also Beneath a Steel Sky. ;D
"Whoa, it's been upgraded to stank. Just last week it was only stink. Stonk can't be far away."

Oliwerko

Well, I play mainly simulators and this kind of stuff, like Combat Flight Simulator 3, Trainz Railroad Simulator, Silent Hunter series and so on.
The only two RTSes I use to play from time to time are Homeworld 2 and Emergency 4, I play mainly turn-based strategies (Civilization 4, Steel Panthers: World at War).

So my most favourite ones are Trainz Railroad Simulator 2006, CFS 3, and TES3: Morrowind - I played this one for a looong time.

yarooze

My first computer game was "Digger" second "Karateka", but I don't really play them now...  ;)

The games I like and play over and over again: Star Control 2, Full Throttle, Final Fantasy VII, Combat Mission 2
