Post by: Calin Leafshade on Sun 03/06/2012 06:28:34
Ok so my RasPi arrived a few days ago but now i realise that i have no idea of anything fun to do with it.

So suggest things to me. What shall I make?

Most first world problem ever.

Install AGS on it and make a game  :=

Ben's right Steve. Stop spreading your hate and lies. :)

Also, "I have this computer but I don't have any fun things to do with it!" is absolutely the "most first world problem ever."

In fact, I just agree with all the words that Ben says.

1) Send it to me, since I have to wait forever to get one too :D
2) Put it into a broken Speccy and impress your friends
3) Build a tiny arcade cab and let it play Quake 3
4) Attach an LCD module and have fun that
5) craft a tiny mediacenter
6) Port AGS to ARM linux, in case allegro is cool with that. Then do what Ben said :)

Done already := Get Debian and follow these instructions (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=46152.0) to build a package. If you want sound, you have to install pulseaudio (sudo apt-get install pulseaudio). Works alright, but it is quite slow and audio lags noticably behind.

Really? That's gorgeous, JJS!

Well then I suggest, you build a McCarthy (or whatever game you're currently into) cab. Make it a bartop with custom keys, a touchscreen and put pretty decals on it. Then sell it on eBay and make a fortune :D
