Aaron's epic adventure: begining, escaping the cave

Hi, I'm new here. I started playing Aaron's epic adventure. I got the ladder and the gold, and distracted Wooly. I got the pick axe and knocked out a hole in the wall to escape, but everytime I escape I get caught and killed. I take it this is the wrong way to escape. How can I cover my tracks better? Do I have to kill Wooly? Is there a way for me to go down and see the other sections of the mine? I'd appreciate some help.

yeah, i had trouble with this too, but i figured it out: okay, so when you make the hole and set the ladder next to the hole, go back to where the pickaxe was. PUT BACK the pickaxe, then leave. then, when Wooly gets back, he won't kno where you went, and just act like you never left so he wouldn't get in trouble. there ya go!  and ur welcome

now tell me what to do AFTER you escape

After the escape, go east until you come to the shipwreck. Talk to it.

P.S. Did I miss a point, or is the ending a bit strange?
