Apprentice - Is this normal?

I did everything I was meant to;

milk on saddle - master off on his trip, got sandwich, the last thing I did was to turn leaves into powder.

Then the next scene is Apprentice waiting for his master, only trouble is the screen is split with the inventory/ verb section and the picture is frozen - had to switch off.

I had exactly the same problem and had to restart the game. The next time I played, however, the problem didn't occur...
Smells like a minor bug to me.

Do you have the updated version?

There's a bug where in several parts of the game, during cutscenes, you can bring up the inventory GUI, and it will freeze.

I thought I fixed all of those!

We should save this bug (and also a walk-behind problem that's been posted on the Apprentice thread under the Completed Games Announcements) so that eventually we can make another update (a version with voice, hopefully)...

Despite slight bug, just wanted to say excellent game, loved the cheese/ sheep bits!
