Loving this game, but seriously stuck -- how do I use the animal traps to defeat the monster-ghost-thing behind the curtain in the studio?

Thanks in advance.

hint:
Spoiler
as you've probably noted, the monster can move on a "board" that is 4 squares wide. He can advance and go sideways but he'll never move backwards or step twice on a same square; when he finds a trap, he tries to avoid it.
Maybe that's enough to corner him!

solution:
Spoiler
as soon as he is on the board, place a trap right in front of him. Wait for his niext move and repeat. He will "slide" 2 times and finally get on a trap. Repeat the process (place a trap right in front of him): this second hit will finally get rid of the ghost!

Hope that helps!

Okay, I need help again -- at the "faceoff" with Alice, what am I supposed to give her? I'm assuming it's the paper you get from putting together all the scattered pieces you find, in which case I'm screwed, because I'm missing one. If that is the case -- where is the second scrap of paper? I could only find the one on the couch, in the beginning.

In part one, after talking to Giuseppe, take the key on the wall (the one you see when you're heading back to your car). This will be useful in section two (art exibition). There's a little desk in the main hall: unlock the drawer to find the second piece of paper and another important item.

Different endings, depending on what you do and what you tell her...

auriond

At some points it depends on your game score as well.

nihilyst

How many different endings are there, anyway? Just wanted to know.

auriond

Four. Two are pretty easy to get, the other two are harder.

Nikolas

Could I have the number for the first door (the one with the mannequin)?

I've tried:

Spoiler
48, 68, 69, 49, 48 and whatever with those two digits but it doesn't seem to work, and I can clearly see an 8 and a 4 on the mannequin! I'm weirded out now!

auriond

o_o Where are you seeing all those digits!? The arms form one digit and the legs form another. Disregard the torso.

If you still can't see it:

Spoiler
The answer is 54.

There were four endings mentioned. I don't know if I missed one.
I got:

Spoiler
- Killing Alice with the knife
- Good Ending after giving/saying various things (Is there another way?)
- Being killed by Alice (Marionette)
- Being killed by the monster at the Chess-field (does this count as an ending?)
[close]

Did anyone get another one?

The last one does not count as ending.

I'm stuck early on...

Spoiler

I'm in the gallery. I've found the map, and noticed that I might be able to move the statue of the woman. I'm guessing I'm supposed to move it to seven locations in sequence, or something like that, but don't see any way of doing this.

How do I do this, or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely?
