I can't find the glint in the cave. I'm pathetic. I have brightness and contrast turned up ALL THE WAY and I still can't see it. This is hurting my head.

Does the resolution that you're running at have any effect on how some things display? I'm running at 640x480 and I still don't see a glint on the nose of that statue..

How do I get a siren scale? I've tried using the mesh. I have the mesh, horn, two flowers(already gave the Oracle the iris), the broken saw, the cup of water, and the key.

Go back one screen on the Siren island. There will be a stick on the side. Pick up the stick, combine it with the mesh, and use the net catcher to get a scale.

Stuck on the first island - I've got the chain and hook attached to the boulder, but the metal bar I found on the beach doesn't work as a crank.  What am i missing?

Use the sawfish snout (over the door down the ladder) on the metal bar, and it will be the perfect length for a crank.
