Chick Chaser: Is there a bug?

I just started playing the game. I got a cup from near the bed and scissors from the drawers, but only the scissors appear in my inventory. I restarted the game three times and the same happens. Is it a bug or I can continue the game even without the cup in my inventory?

This is the first time your question comes up. I honestly had no idea about that bug (?). All I can say is that as far as I can remember, there's no cup involved in solving the game's puzzles. You should be ok.
