:P I don't know if this goes against the rules of this forum in particular, but...

According to almost every walkthru I've read, when I finally reach outside of the castle with my father, I use the motorcycle, and Indy goes automatically to Berlin, and has to pass a guard post.  But in the game this does not happen, it goes directly to the airport, and I want to go to Berlin in order to Hitler sign my travel pass.  Am I missing something from the game?

As far as I remember, that bit comes later, for now you have to get the ticket for blimp, or fly the plane

Lucky

Did you give the Grail diary to Vogel?

GarageGothic

This is probably the best use of alternate paths in any LucasArts game. As lucky said, only if you gave the  REAL grail diary to the colonel, you'll go to Berlin to retrieve it (and get a chance to meet Hitler). I hope you have a savegame.

Thanks, man, I DO have a savegame (I'm oldschool, I guess :)), and I gave the real Diary to Vogel (I was always giving him the fake one).

This game is very well though, I'm playing it again to find all the endings, and it amazes me with the little details that change the way I'd have to play...

GarageGothic

Always a pleasure to help.

Yes, it did require a bit of inventive thinking, as the obvious thing is to give him the fake diary. In remember when I originally solved the puzzle, I almost felt like I had cheated the game, but of course it was just part of a very clever design.
I absolutely love this game. I never understood why people keep going on about FOA rather than Last Crusade. To me, this is, along with Zak McKracken and possibly Loom, LucasArts' finest hour.
