Post by: Geewhiz on Wed 07/02/2007 13:52:24
It won't open, it goes right back to the desk top.
Hints?
XP, HP, I'm good to go tho.

If I remember rightly, I had the same problem. This game seems to have been released without a winsetup file. Winsetup files might not have been around when the first in the series was made, but that's no excuse for not providing one for a recent release.

I don't know how you get games with .bat files to run. I suggest private-messaging the author or posting a message in another of the forums to ask about this (perhaps the Technical Forum).

I had this problem too, but it works on my PC but not on my laptop.

It won't display because the game's default setting is 320x200/fullscreen.

If there's no winsetup.exe included, just run "game.exe --setup" from a command prompt.

Unfortunately the used engine version is so outdated it doesn't support windowed mode. But at least you can set the resolution to 960x600 that way which should be displayed properly even by recent laptops.
