Can anybody help me with Mom's Quest? I think I'm most of the way.

I've trapped Vi in the Disk. I think I'm supposed to get the red thing in the jar (the king) back to the queen, but I can't move him. If I pick him up he sings and I have to put him back. I put banana peels in my ears but unless I'm in the same room as Rus, Laura just takes them out again. I have a moon-beam that I've not used, and a second lump of earth, but can't find anything to do with them.
(Sorry, I tried using the hide tag, but something wouldn't work. I hope this is a reasonable alternative.)

Try to pull every tape.
When you have tape, use it to king.

Thanks! I'll try that. I hate tiny objects. Like that annoying hair-grip in Richard Longhurst and the Box that Ate Time. Or that tiny bit of broken mirror that's different from the rest of the broken mirror in Mourir en Mer. Ooh, they make me mad.
