I have searched the forum for hints on this game and can't find any, has anybody played it? I need help. I have to give the scarecrow three items for him to make me a potion to make the evil witch nice. I have given him two (salt and blood) I need to give him the third item which is a house pet - dead or alive. I am assuming I have to get the stuffed cat from the museum. I am trying to get it by replacing it with the toy cat I have which looks exactly like it. I have got rid of the guard by putting blood on the sleeping giant so guard left the room but I can't seem to be able to pick up the stuffed cat. Pleaseeee help

Have you tried using the toy cat on the preserved one? I think that should do it, but if it doesn't let me know and we'll try to figure something else out. Good luck. :)
thanks Larien yes I have tried using the toy cat on the preserved one and it just keeps saying "the guard might come back any second its too risky"

Okay, obviously you want to keep the guard from coming back (but you already knew that, right ;)). Pick up the the sign and use it on the door to the room the guard's in. Use the crowbar on the nails (where the sign was), and then use the nails on the sign. After all that you should be able to switch the cats. :)

I have got to the island to look for the flowers, found the Scarecrows flower and the key inside the tree but I can't find the other flower and it won't let me leave...have i missed something obvious?

if you go to the right there should be a trapdoor use the key on the trapdoor thats where other flower is
when does the guy I need to rent a boat from return?
Have you talked to the pig yet? You'll find out something very important from him that makes it necessary for you to rent a boat. I think after you talk to him, Shawn (the boat guy) should come back.
If you have trouble figuring out just how to talk with the pig, try this:

Have you talked to the manager in the green building? He wants to have the game cancelled, right? So:

Take the red scarf to the colorman and ask him to change it to the color of grass. (If you haven't already, take the sign beside the colorman and use it on the scarecrow so you can learn how to talk with the colorman.) Give the scarf to the fan outside the manager's building then go see the manager.
I think that should cover it but if it doesn't let me know. :)

Give Shawn his money, use the oars he gives you on the boat there in the water (the only one he has left), and head on over to the witch's island.

Have you used the cheese on the fork then dipped that in the tar and asked the colorman to change the black tar to yellow? Use that entire combination on the mouse hole in the first room, take the mouse, and use it on the guy balancing on the bicycle. Take a plate. Use the plate on the owl that's perched by the manager's office (I think it's the manager's office). Now the owl's just lying there, looking pitifully dead. What better to do than to hit it with the axe? Use the test tube on it and there's the blood. :)
