Title: Screen off-center in full-screen mode.
Post by: Lucifiel on Wed 17/01/2007 13:59:23
Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you had this problem when playing in full-screen mode. The game screen is off-center, towards the left.

I'm playing A Better Mousetrap and well, I got that problem too with Pleurghburg and other AGS games. The reason why I'm playing in full-screen mode is 'cos I keep clicking outside of the game screen.

Any idea how to fix this?

I know what you mean, this problem arises when your monitor is set to a higher resolution than the game I think. I've found that going into the properties of the game exe and under the Compatibility tab checking screenresolution 640x480 fixes it. This also affects the setup file though.

It's probably just your monitor's settings just mess with the buttons/knobs on it.

I still suffer from having any AGS game's music jump when I go to another room.

That's an AGS engine problem. Happens in Heartland Deluxe all the time. Happens more on a  below 1ghz processor and less on an above 1gz processor. Likewise, it might happen less often in a lower resolution game than it does in a higher resolution game.

The engine is long due an overhaul, imho. :)

Yes... engine optimization overhaul needed!
