I love this part (then again, don't most people?). I've been running roleplaying games as master/storyteller for eleven years (D&D, Whitewolf, Amber Diceless and a homebrew system) and have extensive knowledge of mythology and fantasy literature. My main interest lies in fantasy worlds, from high fantasy to dark, or modern world with a magical or horror twist to it (i.e. world of darkness).

I sometimes feel like I spend so much time trying to finish at least my main character artwork first, that I begin to miss scripting. I find inventive scripting enjoyable, and if I am to be scripting your game, expect suggestions on how to improve puzzles and stuff ;). Of course if you don't agree with my suggestions that's fine by me.
I am willing to help with small scripting issues and short games mostly all the time, but if it's a large project I want to be sure it'll be finished (artwork etc I mean ;)) and wether or not the idea appeals to me (most ideas do :)).

I am currently helping someone with puzzle design and general plot discussion. I really like talking to people about their game, and discussing ideas. I bring sometimes complicated ideas, but can simplify things. I believe I think inventively and have original ideas and ways of implementing features that players will enjoy.
If you are looking for a story from scratch, I don't always get ideas (especcially good ones), but I can try. I enjoy the whole proccess very much. Except for making up names. I suck at names. :P

It's true that I AM relatively new to AGS, but I've got one secret weapon - the ability to think logically. I've managed to put together a point and click remake of Larry 2, and am even now fiddling with AGS as much as I can, trying to get the most of it. Most or all of the above is still true, but at the moment I'm after peace and quiet. In my book, that equals SCRIPTING (strange but true). My programming experience is not as vast as some of the scripting wizes around here, but I can comfortably say I'm an above average scripter, verging the "quite good" though not quite there yet.

SPELING 'N' GRAMAR THE RITE WAY Obviously you can see that spelling and grammar are two things I'm quite passionate about. If you put ONE single comma out of place I WILL find it, so it's best to ask me BEFORE the game's released to the public :D

I'm bored with what I've been doing in 3D so I thought I'd try to learn some more animation skills. I'll make two or three of these and edit here when the offer is no longer open.
I know how you all like to have company names like "Wet Dog Entertainment" or "Not A Real Company At All Adventures." I will make your intro animation. You know how when you turn your playstation on it says Sony in some flashy animation and then Playstation, or actually I can't remember because I haven't used a playstation in years. Anyway, most of the time those are done in 3d now because it looks really cool and it's not that hard.

To accept my offer you should PM me with details of what the content is and preferably a few storyboard frames of what you want it to look like. For example, in the above movie I wanted my nickname "shbazjinkens" to spin from the top down a central axis and a flying robot was to illuminate it with blue light. I think it's 8 seconds long. You may want thousands of mirrored panes to fly in to form your company logo in the desert, and I would turn that into dozens of panes because thousands would take way too long. I also need to know what format you want and what codec to use, physical size, resolution, etc.. I wouldn't suggest using the divX codec because it watermarks the video.
Preferably, there should be something to show of a game you are making so I won't be wasting time in a literal sense.
Final results will be much better than the sample, that's why it's just a sample. :=

Voice lip synching
If you're working on a 'talkie' game and would like to synchronize the lips to what is said, I think I could help. I have a setup where I could mostly automate the lip synching (well, I have yet to make it, but I will if someone needs it :) ), all I would need is the MP3 voice files and a list of the spoken text (like speechref.txt as AGS makes it). I've made some tests, and I think the result is usually quite convincing, even when it's not perfect.
Of course, this would be time permitting, but contact me at jzikovsky at hotmail dot com to discuss. Good quality recordings should help the process. Also, in the process of checking the lip synch, I would playtest your adventure - so you get 2 services for the price of, well, none! ;)

-Proof Reading - I have a great imagination and have showed this with other games . I have done this recently with another game production.
- Voice Acting - I Can do a few accents including eurpean English style and indian. I use a Microphone. I have been involved in a lot of games that required voice acting which include the The Way series made with RPG Maker 2003. Unfortunatly due to lack of space we had to cut out the voices but check the games out they rule.

Hi all! I'm new to the forums, just wanted to offer some of my knowledge to work in a new AGS game, most likely on the amateur level. I'm very motivated to work in a game, and I think I have a good knowledge of many genres (I mostly play abandonware though).
Just in case it matters, I'm from Argentina but living in Belgium (Its the same to speak/write English or Spanish to me, and I'm doing quite good with Dutch)
I work/ed with (never for games, thats why i want to get started):
Graphics: 3d Studio max, Poser, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, DAZ Bryce, Swishmax, Dreamweaver
Sound (I'm a Technician in Musical Production): Protools, Cubase, Sonar, Reason, Ableton Live, Sound Forge, Acid Loop etc...
AGS: I know all the basics, and I've read all the manual, but haven't found any ideas or motivation to start alone. Im not afraid of having to learn scripting either (im completely self taught in everything I put above)
Text: I do read A LOT all the time, so I think I could tell a weak story from a solid one, or be able to do basic improvements to dialogues (no experience, but would be very interesting to try)

I would be happy to help with proofreading. I'm an English major and will probably be going into editing so it would be good practice, plus I think that good editing can really increase the professionalism of a project.
I speak and write American English natively but I'm not at all thrown by British/Australian/Canadian usage, spellings, or slang, so don't worry about your ises would come back izes or anything like that. ;)
My biggest strength is probably dialogue review. I can and would be very happy to go through your dialogue line by line or offer general overview advice on how to make it flow better, sound more natural, and convey more about your characters.

Character Art/Cutscenes
Preferably for high-res (640x480+) projects, and I mainly work best in a large-form, first person or dramatic (think Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney) style, with large, intricate designs and minimal animation. I can also do fullscreen portrait art for lower resolution projects. Multi-angle, multi-scene animated cutscenes not a problem, and I'm happy to script all the pans, movements and actions in these too, having a strong coding background.
Chara art for me is usually a huge, very time-consuming undertaking, so it'd have to be for the right project.
Music
I've been a singer and guitarist in quite a few bands, as well as having a good working knowledge of sequencers, synths and the like. I mainly work in alt-rock, electro, synth-rock, shoegazer, trip-hop and acoustic styles, although I'm happy to give anything else a shot. I can release MIDI or fully digital MP3/OGG files to suit the project. This isn't anywhere near as time-consuming as graphics work, as I can work on music in any spare moment of free time, so I should be able to help out a lot more projects.
Proofreading/Script Editing
I'm happy to help out here if need be for any English-language projects, having a fairly strong background in writing for numerous online and offline publications.

Hey, I'm a proficient musician with many freind musicians, I'v composed many songs and currently playing with a band. Love to make origonal sounds, inspired by punk, metal, industrial, and whatever noise I hear in between. I'v played many adventure games so I believe I could tailor my music to fit any genre of adventure, but I would must like to make a soundtrack for horror games! :D
Scripting - I'm not that advanced with AGS, but I'm a basic programmer, so I feel at home in the script editor. I also like to give a good search to the manual. I can put together your art, music, sound effects, voices in AGS if you don't feel like hassling with that.
Story design - I'm striving to be a an amateur writer, and I usually scribble entire pages in class. I'm quite fond of science fiction, but I think I can do some fantasy too.
Translating - From Romanian to English and viceversa. Come on... Anyone? I guess it's useless...

I am a script/story writer, I have written two amateur plays for performance at my University (One being an adaptation of horror-story The Thing on the Doorstep by H.P Lovecraft) and the other is a sex comedy of my own devising - the horror play was well received, first readings of my comedy provoked a positive reaction.

Large, you say? Yup, but they compresses beautifully, since there's a lot of repetition.
If you use them, we'd love to here from you. We thought about doing more characters, male and female. We've gotten better since our last game, and learned how to use the alpha channel more effectively.

I am very interested in learning how to program AGS. I am an artist looking to get involved in a simple game project. For me, doing the backgrounds, animations & masks are the easy part. But actually assembling the game mechanics are the hard part. I understand the logic of what needs to be done but getting the game to understand/execute it is another story and something I need to learn.
I would like to team up with someone in creating a simple game to help me learn how to do some of the scripting. My art is very cartoonish. Here is a link to a simple turtle walking around a living room that I did. The door is actually an object superimposed over an empty doorway.

I never was able to get the door to open while still blocking the turtle when it was closed (I tried a second unwalkable area that would become walkable upon opening the door (accompanied by an open door animation of course) but after about thirty tries my head was spinning). So there it stands un-openable.
At any rate you can see my artistic style (though I am not locked into this style and can be somewhat versitile as long as it is along a cartoon style). I do not do any realistic stuff and perfer to work in higher resolution.
I am very serious on working on a simple game that covers the basics. I am willing to invest the time in creating all the backgrounds, area/hotspot/object masks & animations if someone else willing to invest the time as well.
I don't want to start this and have someone dissappear or abandon the project a few weeks or months in. I really want to learn. So if your up for it! :) Let me know!!! Also, perhaps this would be an oppurtunity to create an open source tutorial/project that could be used so other people can see how it was done too.

I'm a good programmer/scripter, and I got the stamina to see a game through.

I'm a long time adventure game fan. My favourite games are the LucasArts ones, but I love adventures of all stripes. Lately, I've been enjoying the Ben Jordan series and Super Jazz Man. It's always been a dream of mine to create a game of my own. However (and this is a big however), I am seriously artistically challenged to the point where I've given up in frustration.
All that said, I'd still like to be involved in creating a great adventure game. So I'm offering my skills to the wider world in the hope that I can be part of a collaborative effort. I'm a good writer (and can proofread too, if that's any help) - I can contribute to both writing dialog and also coming up with plot / puzzles. Scripting isn't a problem for me either, since I work as a coder.
So, in summary, if you want a creative mind to take your story to the next level or a right-brain coding geek to solve your scripting woes, I'm eager to help on an exciting project. I have a reasonable amount of time to spend on it, without being able to go full-time and I'll always carry my tasks through to completion.

MUSIC - I have a masters degree in music from a decent English uni - Given my current profession, I have little time now to promote my own stuff and have it played, a bit of composing on the side do go alongside a good adventure fits me great :D
I am interested in doing something a bit different - ask someone else if you want epic orchestral scores. If you want something unique and original (hopefully like your game) I'm the man. I've had works played by internationally acclaimed ensembles and soloists and this is where I specialised as a student. Will work for free for an interesting, original creation.

I was not sure where I should post this. Having some luck with past AGS Games, I thought I would offer our service.
In the effort to build our company in the last 3 years, we have learned the hard way about marketing, publishers, distributors, advertisement, and how to handle it all.
We are now offering small developers, a chance to benefit from our experience. To increase our product base we are opening ourselves to publishing. We have put together 5 packages for the developers, with no cost to them. 3 of our 5 packages are non-exclusive agreements as well.
We have test marketed these packages for the last month, (some of you may have received emails from me as part of that testing) and feel confident we can help small game developers build there market presence.
No nothing is for free, and we do require a royalty based pay, and not all games submitted to us will be accepted.

I am very creative and could do magic in the artistic field, only I've never done anything real in the digital form. Also I want to be a big part in the story making and would respect your ideas equally as mine. I don't know $#!+ about programming so I'd like someone who has those skills.
Music. We'll also need great music. Or good music. Or bearable music... Plain sounds will do fine.
You don't have to have the opposite "features" that I have, only a will to do a game till the end (or as much as possible ;) ). Also a team thing could work.

I'm a musician/composer who is currently majoring in music composition. I'd be more than willing to compose some music for your game. It's been a long while since I've wrote any video game music but I assure you I am very capable as I am on the path do doing this for a living one day.
So what I am trying to say is this: I don't really have any fitting samples of video game music to let you hear but here is my proposal - gimme a little project to work on (be it title screen music, battle music, just a little fanfare, whatever) and i'll compose you a lil something. If you like it - you can keep it and i'll write more for you - if not - then don't use me. I think it's a fair deal. :)
When asking me to write music here is what i request and it will ultimately make the music better:
Include as much detail as humanly possible. I hate it when I'm asked "Just write me a character theme for this main character" and i get no info on the character or how their input on how they'd like the music to sound.
So give me lots of detail:
-the mood of the piece
-the tempo of the piece
-how the piece will be used in game
-if you kind of have an idea of how you think it should sound do your best to -explain that to me
-even a screenshot of a character or area that the music will be used in would be very helpful
-if their is a song (whether it be from another game or whatever) that you kind of what your song to sound like I'd rather you not send me that song and just do your best to explain it - because I don't want to accidently "rip" some1 elses work. However, if it's one of those "you've got to hear this" kind of things then it's cool. ;D
Also, i'm beginning work on a game of my own. If you feel that you could contribute in anyway then that is all i ask of you in return of my service.

I'd like to offer up my services as Game Finisher! Have an unfinished project you just can't work on, but don't want to see die? Well, send me the whole shebang, with some notes on how you'd like it to end, and, provided it'll work with AGS 2.72 (although it shouldn't be a problem), I'll gladly complete it for you so you can show off that great idea you had before you got sidetracked with an even better one!
Naturally, there are some rules.
*Don't expect super quality graphics, but if I must supply new sprites and/or backgrounds, I'll do my best to match your style so it isn't inconsistent.
*Game should be at least half to 3/4 of the way done.
*English games only, please (well, unless you don't mind if there's no dialog)
*The game would be finished as soon as I could get to it, but no sooner!
*I will definitely not add any music. Unless you wouldn't mind a score played on the harmonica.
*As I am waiting for my own project to pick up some momentum, I do have the right to suspend both your project (although it wouldn't be very nice, so I probably wouldn't) and this offer.

I'm posting here to offer my services to the community - I'm looking to get involved in other projects as well as my own.
What can I offer?
Character Art: I am an art student, and I particularly enjoy creating interesting characters. Computer-based art is fairly new to me, I'm still learning all the various software functions available. Perhaps unusually, I do opt for a generally more realistic look (see my current avatar). I'm really flexible, I can do pretty much anything.
Story Design: I really do know my way around the English language, and I'm intending to put this to good use. I'd love to help anyone interested in a writing partner, or simply just some help in moulding an exciting plot. This leads nicely on to...
Proof Reading: I can easily check any (literary) script for mistakes.
Play-testing: I don't have any redeeming skill when it comes to this, it's just simply something I'd like to try.

I'd like to offer my services as the following:
Story Design
I would love to write an adventure game from the ground up, however first of all I think it would be prudent to assist someone else with their story first. I would happily provide assistance with expanding a plot, crafting dialogue or anything involving the writing of a project. I do have previous writing credits in a few machinima episodes created in the games Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Academy, which I wrote with the creator of the series in question.
I'm about to start a master's course in media writing in September, and as a result any writing I can get my hands on will be treated as though it were part of my course and will be given my fullest attention and effort.
Voice Actor
I have a little experience in providing voices for computer games, at least on an amateur level. I have provided voices for the machinima that I co-wrote (even before I was invited to help write it). I started as a minor character in a singleplayer modification, before graduating up into the role of the main character in its sequel, and finally into the machinima series as another main character.
I have a southern English accent and can do a few accents, with varying degrees of success.

I must admit I don't have much experience actually play testing games, although I have played an awful lot of them so if there is a problem that needs fixing, or a bug that needs squashing, I'm pretty likely to find it.

I am sorry to say that I have no examples of MIDI-music, and I understand that this seems a bit unserious. But I'm really into these games, and I can only help with the musical part.

I ultimately want to be a composer, and I play solo piano and acoustic guitar. I would say my style was minimalist with both instruments. I am currently very broke and cannot afford to rent a piano anymore so I rarely get a chance to compose or record with one, but if the right project came along I could definitely spend some money to record in a studio. I can record guitar to MP3/wav easily with my quite professional mic, and this music tends to be pretty simple and wallpapery - think of the soundtracks to About a Boy or Brokeback Mountain. In minor keys the solo guitar definitely creates an eerie and somber vibe.

You must have a basic outline of a story. If I wanted to write something from scratch, I have plenty of my own projects to work on. I'd much rather spend my time working within an already existing framework.
I can turn my hand to writing the story, writing dialogue, or even just object descriptions. Again, you must have at least the bare bones outline of what you need. I am offering assistance in filling in the blanks, putting detail into your project. I simply want to exercise my skills as a writer without getting bogged down at the planning stage.
English is my first language, and I'm happy to help proofread your project.

Hey there, I just found this website, so I realize I am new to this scene, but I have been thinking about working on game design for a long time now, and this seems like the perfect fit for my current abilities / free time.
So without further ado, heres my situation.
1. I am a long-time fan of adventure games, my favorite is the Quest for Glory series.
2. I am mostly self-taught in programming & web desiging. I have a passion for computers and technology and a love of learning.
3. I currently have a lot of free time both at work (shame on me) and at home.
4. I cannot draw, color, or animate, etc. to save my life.
5. I can program fairly well, and can learn new things quickly (usually by reading a book or two and doing some hands-on.)
6. I've created several games for myself and friends, including a BASIC text-adventure for TI-83 calculators (take that - algebra class!), C++ console text-only games, and badly drawn flash games that were nonetheless fun to play titled Lemonade Stand (pretty easy to figure out) and Space Trader (fly a ship and trade goods or fight space pirates). I can provide samples of most of these via email or uploaded to a web-page to anyone who is interested.
7. I haven't used AGS yet, but i plan to familiarize myself with it ASAP. (starting tonight most likely)
Preferences/Misc.:
I would prefer to work with someone via a collaborative online program, as opposed to just emails or text messages, but I'm flexible. If anyone happens to live near me Im not against driving an hour or two once a month or so to work on some things.
I am willing to obtain whatever software, knowledge, experience, etc. neccessary for any project i decide to take up. If I commit, I will carry it through.
I would prefer to get in on the ground floor, but I'm not opposed to joining a project in the middle if its something i am interested in.
I am not looking for any kind of monetary compensation. If it happens, great, but I'm willing to work for the sake of learning something new, completing a worthwhile goal, and using it to improve my knowledge/ability for the future.

I've been a long-time watcher from the sidelines and occasional participant in the forums, and have enjoyed several incredibly-well-made adventure games. This is part of my effort to get more involved in the community and give something back.

This is my main skill. Composing is (sort of) what I do for a living and I have several years' experience at it. I'm willing and able to compose in MIDI, mp3 or ogg format. Offering my services as a composer. I would say that music is WHAT I DO and I'd like to think I have a pretty broad range of musical skills to offer your game. My preference is MP3 and I would say my musical strong point is ambient locational music and mood/atmosphere music.
I'm not desperate to be part of a project right now so if I'm not interested in anything you put forward to me then I will turn it down. That's nothing against you or your game but more that I am giving myself the luxury of choosing the perfect projects to make my life easier. After all if I am working for free I have to make sure that I am seriously interested in the project I am working on to stop me just giving up and not providing.

Music - I've worked and composed music with a few symphonies in my time. One in particular, the Johnson City Orchestra, is the one I favor the most. I can add plenty of mood within your game and I do this in respect to the deadline of your game. I work quickly, so expect to get the music right after it is distributed from the symphony.

I would kill to be a writer/story designer, collaborating with some other game developers.
My problem with AGS has always been the mere fact that I'm good at the story part, but I suck at virtually everything else. I'll get way ahead of myself, coming up with heaps of concepts and characters and plot twists and all that stuff, without barely starting the animating and scripting and drawing.
However, being able to write for games, without having to worry about that other stuff would be brilliant! I could handle all the dialogue, descriptions, and plot - all that wordy stuff with ease. I'm flexible, and I'm not one of those literary snobs who will quit over 'artistic differences' - I can write for people, spinning even the most flimsy of ideas into a good story (y'know, when I try hard enough :P)

I think accent can add some depth to characters, and there's still the written text on the screen to read.
I got a C in Geography entirely because my teacher was from Kerry (at least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it...)

Anyway I'm making everything in my actual game (from story to animations, with respectable chars and bgs...) I'm only really good in some things, and I offer my services at that:
STORY DESIGN:
As a great reader of hundreds of fantasy and sci-fi books, as ten-year Master of games like D&D, the games of World of Darkness, Star Wars, and anothers, as game inventor (I made my own rulebooks and house tabletop games), and a lot of mindnumbling things, I was good writing thousand years background history for games, plot designs, puzzle design, Character design, and so. But I'm only good Writing in Spanish. In english I'm a little limitated. For some things can be fine, for others, can be a problem.
VOICE ACTING:
I'm Spanish, and Catalonian, from Spain. I can perfectly do voices (and I love it) in Spanish or Catalonian. I have skills in voicing English and French, but with little accent, of course. In that way i easy can voice Italian.
TRANSLATING
I can do excelent job translating english to spanish (even I gain money for do that when I was game reviewer for Terra). I never do that for a game but I think could be interesting.

In talking with Nikolas Sideris lately, I bought Diamonds in the Rough to check it out, and support him and the game developers. I was pretty amazed by it. I miss the point-and-click genre. The closest thing now is Dreamfall (which I still think is amazing) but I miss the old games like Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

I am also very emotional person so are my music too! I can create anything atmospheric music you can't even start to imagine!!! I always put the emotions and atmosphere of the music first, and then the technical side of the music like tempo. The sounds itself does matter for me more than all theoretical stuff of the music. It's very important to keep music as humaness as possible, without computers, so in that way I can have more special human touch to my music... it makes really a huge difference!

I composed the score for Colourwise, an AGS puzzle game and winner of 4 2008 AGS awards, mainly for non-adventure related awards.
No awards for the game music however, which was to be expected:
Due to my late entry into the 'team' that entire soundtrack (I guess about 10 songs) was written in only two weeks. And more importantly; it was no dramatic soundtrack for an adventure game, they were fresh and happy midi tunes for a puzzle game. Ah well, at least someone mentioned me in their review of the game:
"The music is also pleasant, bringing back memories of ages spent wasted away in SimCity 2000" which I thought was nice because I myself loved SC2000 and it's quirky music."
And just to pat myself on the back a little more (hey it was my debut!):
"I was close to mentioning the lack of a variety of music tracks, but I just noticed that the tune does change somewhere after the 14th level. Fortunately, the one song that plays during the intro levels (there's a separate tune at the main menu) is a fun and rhythmic piece with a catchy melody that's repetitive enough to work as background music without being boring. The rest of the songs are nicely composed upbeat tracks resembling something you'd find during the walking moments of an adventure game. Some of them are laden with timpani, others throw in some bongo hits, still others feature flute or pipe-based melodies that are always easy on the ears. I'm glad the author didn't include any sound effects for the movement of the block, as that type of sound in a puzzle game usually ends up getting annoying very quickly. There's a few sound effects for certain actions such as teleportation; they all do their job."
However I would like to have a go at some more ambitious work. Altough writing catchy tunes is my specialty, more dramatic symphonies really warms my cockles.

I'm a lovough I don't follow any school (Lovecraftian, Poe, Stephen King, Wilde, Byron or anything), I got my own way of writing and directing, that works strongly with the notion of some superior force, the supremacy of the love towads other feelings, the inner fears of the men and the pure, intelligent comedy.

7 march 2010: I have to say that I am currently unavailable, as working on my own short projects and also helping few other people in projects of their own. I'll update this post when situation changes.
What can I do?
I am a coder myself, and I guess I am getting better at AGS scripting lately, so I can do scripting, even lots of it.
I can invent puzzles, technical ones, or crazy and unobvious ones.
I can design and write a story, and dialogs perhaps, however, assuming writing is in "international" english, it is better for someone more capable at english language to check my writing afterwards ;), because I am not a native engish speaker.
I may actually draw, I can be fairly good with simple paint programs, as it seems (if I have enough dedication, that is ;)); I can also draw in GIMP, but cannot say I am too good in that. Yet I draw static objects better than animated ones.
I can be an alpha- or beta-tester. It appears I have a thing for thourough testing and a good eye for minor flaws.
Don't expect me to make music though. All I can do are simple MIDIs.

I've got a fantastic, FANTASTIC idea for a game that i've been tinkering with for ages now - and after narrowing it down to AGS as the proper medium, i tried doing it myself - but can't get past the scripting involved.
I'm looking for a partner to work with on this, someone who knows even the basics to get by. It's going to be great. I would be contributing backgrounds, sprites, and dialogue to the project, and you would be the programmer - making the game function - and even helping out wherever you see fit!
I don't want to give away too much, but i'm a very creative individual and this is a bold new updating on old 8-bit NES classics such as Uninvited & Shadowgate - truly an innovative way of using the AGS Editor.

Hi everyone! I'm new here. The name's Jon, and I write speculative fiction. Obviously, there are loads of writers on this site, but I also dabble in a bit of illustrating (sadly, I'm terrible with backgrounds). Now, I don't want all of you to raise your hands all at once, seeing as I'm still fresh meat and all, but if you ever need someone to proof read your dialogue & captions (and believe me, from what I've seen having played AGS games for a number of years, EVERYONE needs a proof reader), or a storyteller to go over your plot synopsis for some fresh ideas or a healthy dose of C&C, I'm your man.
At the moment, I'm not taking on character design jobs, even though it's up my alley. This is mostly due to the fact I've got a good deal of personal and collaborative comics projects going on, as well as character designs for my own AGS game, but if you throw a bit of cash my way (or at least some serious notoriety), I could very well be persuaded.
My literary influences include the likes of Neil Gaiman and Isaac Asimov, though with far less knowledge and real world experience. My illustrator influences are Darwyn Cooke, Bruce Timm, and Mitch Clem. And if it helps any, my absolute favourite adventure (if not absolute favourite all-time) game is Sam & Max Hit the Road.

Who am I and what am I doing here?
My name is Peter Silk and I've been composing music in one form or another ever since I started messing around with ProTracker on the Amiga, nearly 20 years ago. Now I'm looking to put myself out there for adventure game projects because I've been a fan of the genre since the old, old days and I'd like some more experience of putting music to games.
I'm fairly flexible in my capabilities and can adapt them to quite a few different sorts of music but my main specialities are orchestral-style pieces and NES-style chiptunes.
My musical influences include Michael Land (Monkey Island) & Peter McConnell (Grim Fandango, Psychonauts), old games by Capcom and Konami, film composer Danny Elfman and classical composers JS Bach and Prokofiev. I thrive on strong, memorable melodies and recurring motifs.

Although I've only been doing design work for a few sites now, I'd love to help get my name attached to a few projects for a portfolio that I'm working on putting together. Here's what I specialize in:
-CSS: I love CSS3, and although I'd imagine my code needs a bit of work still (but whose doesn't?), I feel quite confident in my CSS abilities.
-jQuery: To clarify: I don't really know how to code much javascript from scratch, but I can use existing toolkits and work on integrating it into a theme. You want a fancy, non-Flash slider to showcase a few images and link to some pages? You got it!
-Wordpress: I actually hate Wordpress with a passion, but I can build simple sites with it if the occasion calls for it.
-Drupal: I love, love, love Drupal. I could go on and on about how I love to build sites with it, but you get the idea. I build all of my personal websites with it.
-Graphic Design: I use GIMP and Inkscape/Karbon to make logos and web layouts. All of my site layouts are based on the 960 grid system.

Play-Testing: How hard can it be? I have tested a few games before. I am somewhat obsessive-compulsive which means I will look at small details.
Proof Reading: I am a native speaker of American English so I can look over documents. I realize that a lot of people here are new to the English language. In addition, I can look at the dialog of the characters to make sure they stay consistent throughout the story.
Story Design: I can offer suggestions for story ideas.

Hi,
I am Guney Ozsan, a professional composer and producer. I compose contemporary classical music and produce mainstream genres such as rock, funk and electronic music.
I studied composition in Bilkent University which is notably the best music college in Turkey. Currently, I am preparing for higher degrees in music composition. Since I also have an engineering degree and an M.S. in statistics, I would like to concentrate more on algorithmic or statistical music.
On the other side, I had been playing keyboards for various popular and indie bands for ten years. I performed in more than 200 gigs playing jazz, rock/metal, soul, funk and R&B. So, I am pretty experienced in both "music in the school" and "music in the street". This experience provided me plenty of flexibility and vision. Now, I took a break from playing in bands and producing two electronic albums of my own, each one with a different concept.
Recently, I participated in Global Game Jam 2012 Istanbul. I went there to do SFX and music to the people there but ended up in teaming up with a programmer and developing an audio game. Nice coincidence ;D Then we decided to keep the team going on. I am hopeful to get some results throughout the year. I am a gamer since Amiga 500 era, I worked with coders time to time (I wrote for a while too), and this is a nice community to be a part of it.
