Title: Medieval Prisoner
Post by: Gepard on Thu 15/01/2009 16:11:06
Welcome to the world of medieval prison. Please, select your origin, your abilities and your handicap. Are you a heretic or a conspirator? Think wisely! Your cell is damp and dark. The torturers are ruthless and have no mercy. But you must survive! Yes! You must get out!

MP is a small game simulating a prison and all its aspects such as torture, threats, guards and cell mates. You can create your own unique character that will respond to the environment and also select the difficulty of the game.

The game comes with a manual that everyone should read before playing.

With that font the 2nd trait in the list looks like " Sexterity "  ;D

Say what they all say: "That's not a bug! It's a feature!"  ;D

Congrats on releasing!

I'm playing it right now and it is an enjoyable, unique experience. I'm always interested in things that.. err.. surpass the mouldy point and click cliches. Bravo!

I'll have to agree with bicilotti, my first try was very enjoyable, you've created a very special game here. I managed to escape, but I suppose my virtual alter ago was just too daft to survive. Heretic sailors are just not what they used to be...

My best run so far was a noble, cowardly artist, who made the ditch in 16 days.

I already said so in PMs to Gepard, but will repeat it here: This is a pretty unique concept that easily outweights its slightly clunky interface. I bet the idea could be elaborated a bit too... maybe in a sequel?  ;)

Ill see about that   :) First I have to finish my exams (chinese is not to be taken lightly). Im really glad you all like it more than hate it. My previous games were a failure (for the players), so Im happy that this one is better. Thanks a lot.

Hey, I just played the game you made for your Chinese class, and although I did not completely understand it (Czech vs. Slovak vs. Chinese), I liked it a lot! Very charmingly designed, nice graphics and animations, absolutely no failure. Yeah, so much for off topic, back to noblemen being tortured to death.

Aww, the game crashed when I was doing so well!

Spoiler
If you try stabbing a guard with the knife and running the game crashes.  I don't remember the error.

Uh, where's the Chinese game? I've been studying it for four and a half years and would love to see how much I grasp.

I will have a look on that error your reported and as for the other game, there is not much chinese as I think AGS does not (or does it) support characters so only a few pinyin sentences. And the rest is in my mother language - slovak.

I'd say I wasn;t much into the game when I just saw it 4 seconds ago. Then I read the post. Great Idea. I mean really really great... I'm playing after I press post..

To avoid that you could simply make all the first letters Capital Letters which I'd prefer anyway.

I still think, 3 cups would be more appropriate rating from the ags panel  ;D

This is a great game! Very addictive, though I kept dying. It also took me a long while to find the main menu. If you ever feel like remaking this with better graphics and interface that would be excellent. I would be glad to help :)

I would be happy to make a remake, but unfortunately, there is no time for that right now as I study Chinese and wish to study in China the next year :f) But if I will do a remake in the future, I will remember you.

Hi there! I just found this comunity today and I think its really great. As long as this AGS thing is here, there will always be adventure games. This was the first game that I downloaded (maybe because I like middle ages so much) and it kinda makes me wanna do my own game. Hope that fallout scripting will help me there. Good game by the way. Not really an adventure game, but a nice "simulator". Good replay value.

PS: Thx for hearing me out and uploading the game again so its downloadable Gepard.
