Okay, I think it's pretty safe to assume that the Oceanspiritverse is getting large enough that even if we don't get our own forum, we should at least get our own thread. There are enough OSD games at this point that, for a newcomer just stumbling upon this open source slice of gaming goodness, simply finding all the OSD games that are out there might be a little daunting. Well, fear not OSD noobs, with this one ring thread, I shall collect all the Oceanspirit games together and provide links to the games and the threads where they first appeared.

To my knowledge, there are thirteen nineteen twenty-one twenty-six OSD games at this point -- not counting the "Iceyverse" (a strange pocket dimension that exists in both the OSDverse and the PMQverse, where the laws of physics, grammar, and game design do not function as we understand them here on Earth).

To date, these are the official OSD games that are available:

As the quasi-inspiration for all things Dennis, Icey has crafted his own OSD tales that take place in a pocket dimension outside of official (?) continuity (if there can be such a thing in the Oceanspiritverse).

These slices of gaming delight are:

Icey 1 Oceanspirit Dennis: The Lost World: Episode 1 by Icey (November 12, 2010)
Game (http://www.mediafire.com/?jv2fubuoix3fcui)
(No source available at this time)

Icey 2 Oceanspirit Dennis 2 by Icey (December 31, 2010)
Game (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1392)
(No source available at this time)

Icey 3 Oceanspirit Dennis 3D by Icey (April 28, 2011)
Game (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1424)
(No source available at this time)

Icey 4 Oceanspirit Dennis: Rise of the Spirit (Demo) by Icey (August 27, 2011)
Game (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1468)
(No source available at this time)

Icey 5 Oceanspirit Dennis: Scourge of the Underworld HD by Icey (October 22, 2011)
Game (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1490)
(No source available at this time)

Icey 6 OSD vs Cloud Strife by Icey (May 14, 2012) [DLC for the Oceanhumble Dennisbundle)
Game (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/Games.aspx/Detail/1574)
Source (http://www.mediafire.com/?1enel9najgp2oi3)

Further complicating things, I created a pair of games under the "Outrage Dreamer Roads" label for the 7th OROW competition (and the MAGS of that same month) that take place in the Oceanspirit Denniverse without any of the OSD characters appearing in them. These games focus on Chafemountains Lynn, who is (possibly) the girlfriend of Oceanspirit Kurt, as I was looking to tell an OSDverse story that didn't focus on gay ninja-pirates for a change.  These are her stories:

ODR 3-2 Hell Menagerie of Gypsy Circus (Revolver Contralto) by Ponch (May 15, 2011)
Game (http://www.barnrunner.com/OSD/MAGS-ODR4.zip)
Source (http://www.barnrunner.com/OSD/ODR3-Source)
Thread (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=44094.0)

ODR 4-3 Lust Web of Spider Women Forest (Motherhood Melodramma) by Ponch (August 31, 2011)
Game (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/Games.aspx/Detail/1473)
Source (http://www.barnrunner.com/OSD/ODR4-Source)
Thread (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=44342.0)

And that brings us up to date. There are still a few snippets of OSD floating around, and a few more projects waiting in the wings to be released (many of them can be found in this thread) (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=43717.0).

There was also a very nice OSD themed Sprite Jam HERE (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=43556.0).

And a thread where the so-called back story of OSD was discussed HERE (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=42861.0).

There's also the matter of the Iceyverse, but that's a cat I'll have to herd another day.

I hope this thread has been of some use to the AGS community and future members of Square Peniks. If any of the above links ever stop working, all game files and source code are mirrored at my half-assed OSD website (http://www.barnrunner.com/OSD/).

Remember: anyone can join and there is no such thing as serious continuity in the Oceanspiritverse. If you want to make a game and you're not sure how it would fit into the existing storyline, don't worry about it! Nothing you can do will violate the canon of the OSD game series.

If anyone has anything to add to this thread, feel free to do so. I plan to update it from time to time to keep the world of AGS up to date with the world of OSD, and vice versa. (I assure you, it's all very meta).

I leave you with the elusive white whale of the OSDverse, ProgZmax's never to be OSD game

Sniffle... It's so... beautiful... Like a unicorn...(http://www.barnrunner.com/OSD/Roger-Dennis-Cheesy.gif)

I demand that you put the proper name of my OSD game in your post. Seeing as it is canonically the first OSD game ever made and canonically I created the series according to the canonical information contained within the canonical games. Also the officially correct canonical spelling of my name is "monkey_05_06" not "Monkey_05_06".

Also, icey's games have no place in this thread since they are not open-sourced. My game is open-sourced, I just am not going to release the link until more people figure out how to play the game properly. Most people aren't even winning the game.

Edit: Also also, I demand that you order the games according to their canonical order, not just release order. Meaning you will have to either order the list canonically and make mention of their release date and release order, or you will have to duplicate the entire list. For the record, seeing as my game directly includes Oceanspirit's birth, there cannot canonically be a prior game unless it is about Batman and Cloud's love affair. := Basically what I'm getting at is that all your Oceanspirit Dennis are belong to me. ;D

Also also also, the official canonical term is "Oceanspirit Denniverse". Canonically.

Mr. Monkey,

1) There's no way I'm typing all that. Not gonna happen. I will however correct the spelling of your name.

2) I won the game. Both regular ending and secret ending. What more can you ask for?

3) There is no canonical order to the OSDverse as there is no canon. Besides, watching the story unfold organically, as it was made up as we went, is half the fun!

4) Oceanspirit Dennisverse? Sounds like someone's about to split off into his own pocket dimension. ;)

1) I'll address your last point first. It's not "Oceanspirit Dennisverse". It's "Oceanspirit Denniverse". GET IT RIGHT!!

2) I expect you to report back to me when you've discovered the other video.

3) Copy and paste the title. What the hell. It's written there in the thread. Just copy, and paste. Stop being lazy. :=

4) Watching the Oceanspirit Denniverse unfold as it was organically created is fun, but so is watching it unfold as I canonically created it. ^_^

Hahaha, I am such a troll. But seriously, I do want the real title of my game to be used. It's like if I just called you P instead of calling you Ponch coz I'm too lazy to type Ponch. Or maybe I'm too lazy to type P, so I just type F which is like half of a P.

I would like to make my see my games up there because in away they are apart of the OSD canon and at the same time they are. My Dennis is basically Dennis just seen in the Oceanspirit form. And I didn't make open source for my games because...well...all those problems. You can't learn from a problem  :=.

Also do have to make a source for the game to be added to the list?

m_5_6: I'll meet you halfway on title. (Although to be fair, the game does unpack to a directory labeled "OSD: OCD"). Also, I've seen both the videos. I cheated my way to victory after a quick trip to the googles! :P

Icey: Your games will get listed eventually. I have to dig through the forums and find them all before I can create entries for them.

Mods: Thank you. Putting this thread together was quite a bit of work and I'm eternally grateful for all the support you've shown. You made it all seem worthwhile.  :-*

Story

0) monkE3y_05_06 shows how Dennis is the greatest warrior ever in OSD:OCD. This is said to be the game that starts it all off.

1) Ben304 gets very drunk and makes Scourge of the Underworld. This is the beginning of something awesome and terrible in the AGS community. No one can go back to their normal, everyday lives after this moment.

2) DDQ, not to be outdone, breaks out his crayons and doodles over Ben's game, making the DX version. It is at this point that Life Partner Ray is introduced and announces that he's off to play Snakes of Avalon.

3) Ben returns with Mighty Pirate, in which Dennis tries to get Ray's attention by starring in an adventure game of his own, in the apparent hopes that Ray will play the game the player is playing and remember how important Dennis is to him (which is an idea so meta that it makes my head hurt. -- Further proof that Ben was drinking heavily again).

3 1/2) Ray goes off to play Snakes of Avalon while Dennis goes off to do something else. Ray is attacked by the blobs and is later seduced by Square Penis. Ray is now evil.

4) Dennis returns from his ocean adventures to find that Knottybeard the Pirate has taken over Dennis' island in Pirates on the Poopdeck. Ray is mentioned in this game but not seen. (He may have been away working for Square Penis).

5) Dennis takes a trip to the mainland and agrees to undertake a mission for the mayor by defusing a bologna bombwich as seen in Blades of Passion.

6) Shortly after, as seen in The Naked & The Ninja, the Mayor travels to Dennis' island to ask Ray (who is either no longer evil or really, really good at hiding it) to rescue Dennis, who is being held by ninjas in the employ of Hansel*.

7) At some point after that, Dennis and Ray break up and Dennis gets a new Japanese boyfriend. Together they explore a dungeon and defeat the Internet in OSD Gets Textual.

8 ) Millions, possibly billions, of years later, Dennis is rescued by Heavenwhiskers Fred from his magical slumber to begin his RPG adventure. The world has been destroyed and the weak are preyed upon by small dogs and giant demons.

icey, in your new game we will finally get to fight New character? Dude! I considered including him in my game, but the way you have to defeat him is so intricately complex and abundantly lengthy (as are his monologues) there was no way I could have finished in time for the Release Something.

Also, I just wanted to point out that you frequently misspell "Oceanspirit"'s name. It's "Oceanspirit" not "OceanSpirit" or "Ocean spirit" or "Ocean Spirit" or "OSHInspirit" or whatever. :=

I have yet to confirm his name so I left it as New character to show that he is a new character. Also I don't remember spelling his name wrong however I will keep that in mind for future reference ;)

Title: Re: The Oceanspirit Omnibus
Post by: monkey0506 on Tue 19/07/2011 04:40:13
If you do include New character, I demand you get him right!

- New character always carries on with the longest monologues of any character in the entire Oceanspirit Denniverse.
- The only known way to defeat New character involves a lengthy and complex string of puzzles, dialogue, and according to rumor, perhaps even a pixel hunt.
- New character has at least 7 different forms that we are presently aware of. He changes at random between these forms during any battle against him, and each form is only susceptible to a specific portion of the methods which must be used to defeat him. Each transformation must be dealt with as a separate entity, and each of the non-active forms slowly heal themselves over time. Rumor holds that he has even more transformations that we simply haven't seen manifested.
- New character can summon daemon faeries to fight for him during which time it is impossible to damage him and his health is slowly restored (these can just be dealt with using normal battle tactics).
- New character's voice is reminiscent of Boxxy. If you don't know who she is, look it up on youtube.

.....Great scott that is a lot. However...

Spoiler
I might consider doing that for the secret ending in the Gold hit's version. You only get to fight him once in this game as this is one of the OSD from the the OSD uni not the PMQ uni. However if I dont get to add him then maybe some could make that epic battle.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, most of the other links in the OP that point to MediaFire don't work either. I think it's one of those sites that deletes your files if nobody downloads them for a month.

How can that be? OSD games are the most popular games on the planet! MediaFire must have made a terrible mistake. Until I can get that matter sorted out with them, I'll update the OP to correct the download links.

Instead of saving them as a text file, you just save them as a html file. Change the file extension, that's all. That's how old timers like me did it way back in the pioneering days of Geocities, don't you know.  ;)
Title: Re: The Oceanspirit Omnibus
Post by: monkey0506 on Sun 02/10/2011 07:17:29
Yes, changing the file extension to .HTML (.HTM is for n00bs!) is how you put things on the internet. Duh, everyone knows that.

Oh, and I think WIX wouldn't let you steal things from SquareEnix.com so it's basically useless.
Title: Re: The Oceanspirit Omnibus
Post by: Icey on Sun 02/10/2011 07:47:28
So if I make a html file(which I have done before) anyone can see it just like that cause that is how you describing it.

The only way that seems right to me is to past the code in a free hosting site that let's you view the code in html format.

P.S. that's square-enix.com to you mister, jk. :)

Also just a though. What would happen if square took Dennis and put him and some new game. only thing is he had a slightly different outfit and went by O.S or D instead of OceanSpirit Dennis?

You know, that could happen. I mean, I went to McDonalds last night, and had a nice coffee, and doodled some sketches of my HIGHLY ORIGINAL characters. And I forgot them there. They are still lying around there!
Now, what would happen if a Disney artist in need of a lukewarm burger found them, and used themn in an upcoming Diney movie?

Whew! This was a big update!

I added the following games to the omnibus:

* OSD: HD (by Icey)
* Sorta 99% Famous (by Icey)
* Heroics in the Nick of Time (by Ghost)
* Dennis Dennis Revolution (by Radiant)
* The Mouse Who Overslept (by Ponch)
* OSD Losers His Vaginity (by Ben304)
* Last Boss - OSD (by Mr. Mog)

Counting the the pocket universes, that brings us up to 28 OSD games!  :D

I should note that most of this last batch are MAGS games, and I hope once the voting is closed, you guys make the source code to your respective games available -- it's what Dennis would want.  ;)

Anyhoo, as the year winds down, I want to thank everyone who contributed or supported the Oceanspiritverse for another year. Here's hoping for more OSD games in 2012.

Fights!  :=

All good suggestions, although I'm not sure how to classify OSD as a genre, much less sub-genres for individual games.

Perhaps after the new year, I'll create a proper OSD web page and a little entry for each game. But at the moment, I working on a MAGS game, a bake sale game, an Xmas game, and the next Barn Runner game. You'll have to wait until I have some free time again.  ;)

As promised, source for DDR (http://crystalshard.net/zip/DDR-SRC.ZIP).

Also, please change the website link for Dennis Dennis Revolution to this link here (http://crystalshard.net/index.php?g=87).

It's a new year, and OSD's future remains as bright as ever. However, November's MAGs was over more than a month ago, and I still need source files for the following games:

* Sorta 99% Famous (by Icey)
* OSD Losers His Vaginity (by 304)
* Last Boss (by Mr. Mog)

Come on, gentleman. This series isn't going to open source itself, you know.  ::)

Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone's got any plans for a new OSD game? Maybe one that's online would be nice and you can use Ponchs games as a template cause it has a simple art style (no offense there just saying it's good but it will be easy to work with).b
Maybe we can all contribute to it like the Swarm. But that's me just thinking :)

I have just completed my first game in AGS.
It happens to be in the OSD universe (but nothing as ambitious as Online  ;) )

http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=45364.0

Just a simple 1 room affair, trying to use lots of elements from the manual.

Any feedback from all you OSD (AGS) ledgends would be grately appreciated.

Turns out the bug was from a compressed .wav file. Tabata tested a version without it and it was more robust then...... a really robust strong thing...

I have updated the original post to the non wav version. If i get no more crash feed back I will have the sorce up in the next 5 days or so.

At risk of having an angry mob of pirates turn up outside to burn me alive inside a wicker phallus.....

Sorry, but you can't commandeer any of my work as open-source for OSD. There's nothing in the Sprite jam thread that states all entries will be open-source, if there had been, I wouldn't have entered.

The problem here isn't that I don't like OSD, it's the same reason that I never release anything :- I have certain personal standards regarding my work, and it's use.
If I'm not happy with something. I don't throw it out the door for the sake of a release. I prefer to take it back to drawing board for another go*. I cannot guarantee everyone who creates OSD games will do the same.

I know it's inflexible but bear in mind that I actually code my own RPGs (and take the piss out of rpg tropes). I'm simply not willing to take the risk of having my work appear in a game that does not meet my own requirements (which are pretty low, but I've played some fucking awful games featuring OSD) and have my own image tarnished as result.

If someone wants to use it, they need to ask me first. Hopefully everyone understands and will refrain from breaking out the torches and pitchforks.

* Unless the compo date runs out and I lose interest, in which case it either gets banished to the archives or entered when I think i can salvage it later.

Wowwzers that's kindda harsh  :o  jk

But I gotta agree, That's why I stay in the Iceyverse cause I just feel weird about others playing around with stuff I put a lot of effort into(despite how the outcome of the game looks) and the Iceyverse isn't mean't to be ventured into by anyone except well, me.

Anyhow, I think it would be cool to see that creation in a OSD game, So maybe one day someone can ask if they could use it and hopefully and It will get animated right.

I think a comic is a good idea. But one page a day seems a lot. I think people would appreciate if it was only one or two pages a week but in good quality. This is certainly better than many rushed pages. Also you should do this in a separate thread and just link here to keep things tidy.

Netscape Navigator, if you please.

I still have a little more work to do to the site -- Add a link to the OSD Web Ring, add a guest book, a link to AltaVista search, a blue ribbon (fight internet censorship!), and other things like that to give it that authentic mid 90s GeoCities feel.

And it makes me feel incredibly old to think that Icey and Frito and others were not around to experience the majesty that was the early information superhighway. Man, it was something... not something good, mind you, but something. One thing I noticed though, the numbering for games 10 and 11 is reversed on the site compared to the .zip files and both site links link to 11's zip. Okay, in no particular order...

Monkey: Thanks for the program. But I think fooling people into downloading that piece of crap constitutes a war crime.  ;)

Frito: Nobody's THAT bad at web design!  (laugh) I had to dig my old computer out of the closet to build that page. It has MS Front Page 2002 on it. It's ancient and clunky interface is perfect for this sort of work!

Icey: I have changed the links to Last Boss game and source to the backups on my server. If you find the old version, let me know and I'll change them back.

One Dollar: Thanks for pointing out the broken links. I wonder how long they've been like that?!  :-[  Also, weren't you working on an OSD game about Ray searching for Dennis? Come on and finish it, dude. I just provided one jillion megabytes (approximate) of OSD goodness for you. The least you can do is finish your Ray game.  8-)

Tabbby: Thanks for dusting off one of the old OSD Rogers!  :) Those little guys need all the exposure they can get.

Lastly, I have updated the first post with the source code for my last MAGS game, and both of the Outrage Dreamer Roads games I made last year for OROW and the followup MAGS. If you've ever wanted to see how amazingly sloppy code can be if you have only a week to throw it together, now's your chance. It's AMAZING!  :=

Please. All I ask is that you put an animated GIF of the IE4 logo on your page linking to the IE4 download. That's all I want.

Wow! My crappy little site is getting a lot of attention from you guys!  :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

All this love (especially from Calin!) has inspired me to do another update to the official OSD site!

* Added a ton of buttons to the bottom of the page (spent several days finding all of them)
* Would have added frames if they weren't such a pain to do (sorry, cat)
* Made the background a watermark (thanks, Ali) -- but it doesn't seem to work in Firefox. Looks right in Internet Explorer though.  :undecided:

Regarding feeback:
Frito: That counter was the one I had on my old Geocities site! I've had it saved on an old CD all these years!  :cheesy:
Monkey: Added your IE4 button. I hope you can sleep better now. I know the puppies can.
Calin: It are supposed to be offensives. That's is being the joke!  :=
kconan: Thanks! I hurt my eyes working on it, but it was all worth it.
cat: You are a woman after my own heart. But sadly, frames are going the way of the blink tag. It would be lot of work for almost no gain.
Radiant: Please provide a link to that script. I'd love to put it on the site.
Icey: Let me know when you've uploaded Last Boss and changed the links. Thanks.

Lastly, does anyone know where I can find one of those little buttons for Forte's Free Agent? I used to LOVE that program but my efforts to scour the interwebs to find one were fruitless. (Seriously! Those little button graphics are really hard to find anymore!)

Does anyone want to make a button for the Oceanspirit Dennis Webring? i think that would be super awesome and cool. Also, does anyone want to make a "favicon" for the browser to display?

But we're not addressing the real issue: Did you like the IE4 button on the site? I would have never had that on my old site back in the 90s. That was just for you, monkey.

I used to have one with a frame on the side for the navigation. It was definitely hack with images everywhere and bad textures. The site hosted Simpsons images. I actually remember a lot of random people writing on my "guestbook" about how much they liked my site.

We won't know until you release it. We need an OSD game with Ray in his deviant art style!

No prob 1$ :)

also I think I want to annouce something about my dear friend dennis.
I was planning to release 3 games of him with in this week.
Osd last boss DX
Osd black version
Osd white version

Osd last boss needs to be improved and I wanted to add a little more of my own thoughts to the game.

Osd B+W versions are quiz games like sorta 99% famous. One has dennis taking quiz to become the best pirate and the other is about becoming the best ninja.

Can I do it? I have to. I need a short break from other stuff again so why not use that short break to work on 3 short games :D

The historical accuracy is bringing back a lot of memories. Unfortunately most of them are embarrassing and I feel sick and dizzy just looking at that site now. I'm sooo glad we've learned from our mistakes.

Clearly you haven't. You are one demented cow.

I plan to add more buttons as I find them. And I'm going to incorporate monkey's web ring art into the next build. Now if only I could find someone (possibly German, even more possibly named Bjorn) to whip up a teeny OSD favicon for the browser window.

Where (oh where!) could I possibly find someone like that?!  8-)

Well, I'm not named Bjorn, but I do have some German in my heritage.

Feel free to use user.ico (http://meleepta.x10hosting.com/user.ico) or setup.ico (http://meleepta.x10hosting.com/setup.ico) from my OSD game. Both have 256x256, 48x48, 32x32, 24x24, and 16x16 in the ICO icon files, so you should be good with either of them. I could also make one with a different image if you'd like, or you could always just download IcoFX yourself. :P

Icey: The OSD website only deals with OSD games for the moment. Sooner or later, I'll add entries (or a separate page) for the OSD spinoff games. You're just going to have to wait a while, Icey. Real life is keeping me very bust at the moment. The important thing is that the Omnibus thread here is up to date -- at least, I think it is.  ;)

Ghost: I can't wait to play this game you never made. Which is why you should make it.  (nod)

Regarding your tech issues, several of the OSD games (mostly mine) were made with an older version of AGS. Some newer systems have issues with it. Sorry.  :undecided:

Updated with four new games!

* The Search For Oceanspirit Dennis by OneDollar
* Sweet Revenge by Ponch
* GearWhale DX by Kconan
* Holiday Havoc by Grundy

I'm hoping we get source code releases for these new games soon. OSD is an open source world after all. (http://www.barnrunner.com/OSD/Roger-Dennis-Wink.gif)

I also hope Ben304 finishes his next OSD project (which rumor has it will shock fans who hold OSD's all-important canon dear to their hearts).

I agree! And since there have been eight OSD games released since you last released one, maybe you should get to work on one. (http://www.barnrunner.com/OSD/Roger-Dennis-Wink.gif)

Or other people in the AGS community could start their own OSD game. With all these resources freely available, it's not like they have any excuse not to.   :cheesy:

What's the story so far?

Oceanspirit Dennis is a (usually) gay (usually) pirate with (usually) poor grasp of English grammar and spelling, and (sometimes) bad teeth. He (almost always) has an eyepatch, a big sword called the Emoblade, and (often) a pirate ship called The Fancy Lad. In games with RPG battles, he can usually do magic spells. His lover/enemy/friend is Lifepartner Ray, who is supposedly a pimp (but seems to be more into the fashion aspect of it than the procuring side). Other characters may also appear.

There's almost no overall continuity, but some creators call back to earlier games by themselves or others. None of it is set in stone if ignoring it is good for a joke.
Title: Re: The Oceanspirit Omnibus
Post by: Ponch on Tue 12/11/2013 14:08:34
Snarky is right. There is no "set in stone" continuity for Dennis. He's a pirate / detective / ninja / viking who goes on many adventures. And those adventures sometimes make sense, but not usually. And they often contradict each other. Also, he has a mouse friend named Mr. Cheeses and a twin brother named Oceanspirit Kurt.

I look forward to your OSD game, Miguel. :cheesy:

You fools! Clearly Ben intended for the series and the universe, and especially the canon to be taken with utmost seriousness and preserved with maximum care, making sure there are no contradictions or discrepancies in the lore.

edit: Also since adventuregamestudio.co.uk is dead, it'd be neat if you eventually fixed the links that lead there (both here and on the site).

I've always wanted to make an Oceanspirit game. I had even started working on one but gave up; I usually get distracted by other shiny things. Perhaps one day I will.

(On a side-note: I'm surprised this thread has lasted as long as it has in the Adventure related)

QuoteHe's a pirate / detective / ninja / viking who goes on many adventures.

He's also an attractive young lady speaking perfect English only in her inner monologues. She fought the Blues Brothers once and they had to undulate away. Epic.

Copy/paste into notepad and just Find & Replace adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums to adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums. The games page one is slightly more difficult, but just copy/paste and manually retype the ID:

If miguel isn't done by the 4th, I fear my head will unscrew, my sheet will be aflame, my kidneys will probably take desperate measures, and I'll have no other option as to play Phantasmagoria AND Daikatana simultaneously just to FIGHT PAIN WITH MOAR PAIN.
As long as you aren't gonna play Heavy Rain at the same time, you should be fine.

Also you guys sound like a bunch of OSD addicts (OSDdicts?). I approve. (nod)

Just gonna leave this here for now as it'll be something in a few more days, Ponch this sorta for you seeing how I can't find the source so I just did a complete remix. :P

And to be honest even though I don't have the source I just downloaded it to my phone and I gotta say I can't remember what I did in Last Boss DX to fix things up but the normal version is just awful so theres no point of a source. :\

There will be lots of canon surprises, new villains and Dennis talks for the first time EVER!

TEH GAMINS IS A READY!!!!

So, to all OSD fans, here's my small contribution into this epic tail of courage, manhood and lyric finesse.
It's only a Demo but I think it allows you, the players, to see where I want to take the OSD franchise and what kind of game it will be.
I've given Dennis a job and set this adventure to 2010 just to give it a round number.
But, better than me talking about it why don't you play it?

DOWNLOAD OSD - LGS (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw9CHP9yH0_vR256VlVTVzdUOGc/edit?usp=sharing)

Please do discuss the game and all of its particularities here! I want to hear it what are your sincere opinions!

I've made some RON games, participated in MAGS twice; I need to make an OSD game to become a true AGSer!

[imgzoom]http://s20.postimg.org/3qvmctqq1/osd.png[/imgzoom]

Just a little doodle, I've got some ideas though:

- I've asked Icey to dig up his old DLC module.
- Full voice acting by an Amiga 500?!
- Canon Cannon?

I'm going to prepare for my first OSD game by not playing any OSD games, this will ensure full continuity.

That project shown in the last two posts of mine only got as far as drawing a few sprites.
Ponch PMed me demanding I squirt Oceanspirit juice into his eyes, I was at a crossroads with my new Android game so I figured I might join this months MAGs. I started again, new artwork (as it was MAGs) and a new concept; an interactive story.

I had some time off work so I had plenty of time to work on the project, we went to Devon for a week, and I was planning on doing some hardcore development in the night.
My wife forbade me to bring the laptop... turns out she wanted some quality time... pah!

So it wouldn't be a MAGs game, but I liked the idea. I was unsure how to go about what I wanted to do so I started to plan it out using TWINE. (http://twinery.org/)
I was having such fun doing it I realised that I'd actually made half of the game playable, albeit in text form (I've since added images for visual gags). My question is does an OSD game need to be made in AGS? Twine just creates a html file so it could easily be placed on the Ozone Spitting Denizen website.

If you get an error message at the start, ignore it just click OK. It's a bug with Twine itself.

The Long Ass Walk is a short interactive story about a young lad named Dennis Average McOrdinary, and his quest to bring back the Oceanspirit to save the world of Questeros!

I did a thing (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.monkeymoto.osd.scourge), but... VERSIEN 0.01VI9-ALPha is actually fundamentally broken. 8-) I'll be pushing an update so that you can actually play it.

Edit: The app isn't creating a necessary folder. You can use a file manager or PC to create the folder "/sdcard/Android/obb/com.monkeymoto.osd.scourge/" and it will work (like I said, pushing a fix for this). "/sdcard/" may mean your phone memory or actual SD card (it varies).

VERSIEN-0.02XK7-ALPha2 corrects the game not loading. The next update will fix the music not playing. The error about the missing DIGMID patch is a feature.
