I'm a bit ahead of you guys and am in need of hints of where I'm at in the game as I am totally stuck. Where I'm currently at is trying to get the key out of Jimmy's fish tank, get that fuse from behind Jimmy's cat on the docks, find a battery for the lantern, find a way to connect the cut mains wire to the garage etc... The items I currently have are:

Coat Hanger
Screwdriver
Apple
Any hints would be much appreciated.

heat the pipe by getting a human hand from the freezer to hold it in the fire.

If you don't kill the human right away on the saucer, and you...

Bend the pipe first, then hit the red button....the human will melt instead of explode
There's also an extra little bit of the saucer that falls apart....

If you bend the pipe and then leave the room, the screen will shake and there will be another explosion. If you go back in the laser room, a bit more of the room has fallen apart
Great game so far, clever puzzles and the story unfolds with every puzzle you solve.

How do I open the feline holder of nutricious stuff? I cursed a lot trying to use the hook to do it, so that you know!

All good now, found out how to fix the wire and have got the cat food, fed the cat, did all that you mentioned. Now am up the part being the alien again.
