I am stuck in the room with the inhabitants of the house after I checked the body. Ive asked them all about the seed, the window and the trunk, so apparently Im missing something obvious

I must be missing something.
I examined all the clues and got to the point where I can take the suspects to trial. I went more with intuition than anything solid (they all are suspect) and I took them one by one. None of them are guilty.
What do I have to do to successfully complete the game?

Perhaps there is more than one suspect involved in the murder?
'Intuition' does not always give the best result.
Look more closely at dialogs etc. The clues are there.
If you arrest CORRECTLY you will get a summary as to how and why etc.
