We are excited to announce that Alum has officially been released. It is now available on Steam, for PC, Mac, and Linux (http://store.steampowered.com/app/338420/). We also have a separate Steam page for the soundtrack (http://store.steampowered.com/app/372100/), if you're interested in purchasing the music from Alum. There is also an updated Demo, which includes voice-acting and fixed/added content, on there as well.

If you haven't heard of Alum here is a brief description of the game's synopsis and features:

Alum is an original point-and-click adventure game. It has the nostalgic feel of the classics, mixed with modern game-play elements and pacing that caters more towards this generation. The world, story, and characters lean towards a "RPG-esque" style, while the game-play mechanics and puzzles stay true to the classic point-and-click style.

Guide Alum on his journey through the dangerous, icy, "Land of Tide". Help him discover the truth about his city, Kosmos, and the mysterious epidemic known as "The Vague", that has been plaguing the city. As the tale unfolds, it will keep you enthralled all the way up to its epic conclusion.

Features:
* Full length game (roughly 7-10 hours of gameplay)
* Over 70 hand-drawn backgrounds - Including a map overview to travel across the "Land of Tide"
* All original soundtrack (live recorded instruments mixed with electronic elements)
* Intuitive puzzles that are logical, balanced, and rewarding (no pixel hunting)
* Full voice acting
* Gratifying frame by frame animations
* Retro classic resolution (320 x 200)
* Steam achievements

Cheers!

Wow, wow, wow... Thank you guys so much. This experience of releasing the game and getting ANY kind of reviews for it is very humbling and encouraging.

Concerning a DRM-free version for GOG: We have submitted to them before and once again about 5 days ago, but we have yet to receive a response from them... So we were thinking, if we could get people to up-vote us on the GOG wishlist, it may be beneficial for us. So if you have a minute to vote us up on their forum, we would greatly appreciate it.  Get Alum on GOG! (http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/alum)

Thanks guys!

We just got approved and Alum is now featured on the Humble Store! If anyone is interested in purchasing the game DRM-free, you can now do so from here: Alum on the Humble Bundle Store (https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/alum_storefront)

Thanks for the votes on GOG, hopefully they get back with us soon... We would still love to see Alum available on there as well because some people like to buy all their DRM-free games from one centralized 'hub', if you will... not to mention the great exposure you get on GOG. So please continue to vote us up there if you haven't done so yet.

Thanks!

- Luke

Humble Bundle are distribuiting the game through steam, so it's not DRM-free.  :sad:

From the Humble page:

Alum is provided via Steam key. For key redemption, a free Steam account is required to play.

The DRM-free icon on the Humble page indicates that the purchase comes with a DRM-free Windows installer/executable as well as a Steam key. The line at the top is hopefully in error.
