I'm hereby announcing:
You might be asking yourself, what is MAGSAN?
Well I'll tell you!
It's the Monthly AGS Archives Newsletter, which will have a new issue published on the last day of every month.
It will showcase each game made in AGS released that month, announce next months MAGS rules, and feature articles written by AGSers.
(If you're interested in writing any AGS related articles at any point give me a shout!)
It will also announce any new AGS releases (possibly even as a standalone "issue" if it makes more sense), and any other AGS related news from that month.
Some of you stumbled upon it when viewing the new AGS Archives site, for those who didn't, you can all sign up via the form in the footer on the site: https://agsarchives.com.
If anyone feel like helping in any way, give me a shout! Any extra help will be highly appreciated :)
This sounds excellent! As most of you will know, I've not been very active on the forums lately - although I do still lurk on a regular basis - it's been so long my avatar broke  A regular feature like this would be very welcome
Nice :D
(nod)
Going to use MAGSAN (http://www.agsarchives.com)as my exclusive source of adventure-related news and commercial releases.
Yay, Peder! This is 'teh way of the future'!
Joined! All the best with this Peder, hopefully this can fill the gap left by Adventure Lantern.

Thanks everyone :D, I'm gonna be rich when I sell all these emails! :=
Seriously though, it's really appreciated that so many of you actually are interested in this! :).
All though not a huge amount, the amount of subscribers already is enough to encourage me to keep this going for months to come!
Again, if anyone is interested in contributing with content in any way, let me know! :)
Thanks to all those who have already offered!
Bump!
Not many days left now until the first issue will be sent out, so if you're not yet subscribed you'll want to do it real soon!
(You can still subscribe in the footer of https://agsarchives.com or you can do it directly here: http://eepurl.com/ca5dTv)
Content for the first issue is coming along nice!
A really small teaser:

Yes! Got subscribed, now I know I'm not a robot! (Any longer...)
Look foreword to this (nod)
Also hello everyone, nice to see your avatars again.
Trying to subscribe but getting no confirmation emails... Anyone else have that problem?
Congratulations on a great-looking first issue! 8-)
@SilverSpook - can't speak for anyone else but I had no issues... I take it you've checked if your email client has put it in the Junk folder by mistake?
Hooray for the first issue making it! I definitely approve of having the Mags theme and the "Games released this month" sections, very sensible ideas. I wonder if you could have a section for "Games announced this month" similar to the "announced" section with screenshots as well as links, rather than just links in the editorial?
Thanks for giving this a shot, and extra thanks for the link to my little thing! I hope this newsletter takes off!
@CaptainD - mine appeared under 'promotions' in Gmail.

Mine too. (nod)
This is an excellent first issue! I too particularly like the MAGS and Games Released This Month sections. I also like the shoutout to the Release Something thread and the A - Z of unrated games sounds like a promising series. I particularly like that all the games have links to their respective download pages. I can tell a lot of work went into this - well done :-D
Thanks everyone! :).

Yeah, I added those quite close to the deadline, but I'll definitely try and do a much nicer section for the next one! :).
I don't really like the whole template setup atm, and plan on making one from the ground up, but html emails is a pain so not sure when I'll get around to doing that :P.
But when I do, it should hopefully look ever better :).
Great job, Peder & team/contributors!
May MAGSAN live a long, long life!
Great first issue for a (hopefully) long running series!
I may have to subscribe to this newsletter.
[Update] Okay, I signed up, but haven't gotten that email with the link yet.

Sometimes it takes a bit of time, make sure you check your junk folder etc though ;)
I'll be releasing the August Issue online probably over the weekend for those who missed it!
Will post a link here :)
Nice start. I like the reviews.
For those who signed up late or have yet to sign up, the first issue of MAGSAN is now available to view online: http://eepurl.com/b_2AtT
Oh! Cool!
Thanks for providing it online! :-D
Nice read everyone.
Um, my email with the link never showed. I even checked the Spam email folder and it never showed up.
If you PM me your email, I could always try and add you manually, though you'll probably also have to tell me you're fine with me adding you manually :O
Okay, I sent the PM.
Unfortunately due to continued illness from my side, this months issue will have to be delayed. I'm unable to give a timeframe of when it will come out, but I hope not too long, sorry for this :(
Get well soon, Peder!
Hey Peder great to see issue 2 in my inbox today! Hope that means you're feeling better too :)
Another fun issue!
Thanks! :).
For those who have yet not signed up, I published the latest issue online just recently.
You can view it here:

And glad that you're felling better now. :-D
The October issue is now available to be viewed online: http://eepurl.com/cke2_1
I'd like to also use this post to thank my many contributors that help make this newsletter possible! (And awesome)
Thanks to Dave Seaman for the Golden Oldie and suggesting starting the AGS fundraiser profile, Stupot for the A-Z unrated section and for providing me with the MAGS topic/visuals in time to include it!
I also have to thank Baron for his lovely Blue Lobe Inc comic strips, Bicilotti for writing all the blurbs for the games announced/released and Jack for the great "fictional" articles.
Also thanks to Ibispi for filling in for Dave and writing the AGS fundraiser profile this issue!
And to all of you guys/gals for subbing and reading :)
And thank YOU for organizing and putting together such a great newsletter. :-D
It seems to be getting better and better each month.

Thanks for featuring my fundraiser, and thanks Ibispi for the lovely blurb :cheesy: If anyone has an AGS-related fundraiser that they'd like to be featured please feel free to PM me for future months (whether KS/IGG/Patreon or whatever - but it HAS to be AGS-related obviously).
What a lovely surprise to find this in my inbox the other day :)
I really enjoy reading these newsletters and was impressed how up-to-date it was even with the most recent releases.
MAGSAN needs a logo and maybe some visuals for newsletter and a potential t-shirt, please see here for details:

The November issue should be in your mailbox! :)
I'll publish the online version in a couple days time!
Also unfortunately a small typo made it through, I'll be sure to fire the responsible person! wait... that's me 8-0 :=
Thanks Peder! ;-D
Nice one again, Peder & writers. ;-D
P.s.:
Spoiler
The November issue contains 2 wrong links:
* 'The legend of Oak Island' links to 'Calvin'
* 'The Three Piggies a Remediation' links to 'Scary Maze Halloween 2016'
Thanks arj0n.. I did check links so can't understand how I missed those :O. I'll fix these for the online version...
Online version is now published with fixes that unfortunately made it into the one that was emailed:

Thanks Peder! Another great issue :)

Thanks for this month's edition, Peder. Sorry I didn't get a chance to do A-Z Unrated this time. I'll try to cover F and G for a double bill next time :-)

Thanks Peder.
Small one this time, but love the logo! (nod)
BTW, isn't Nightwork missing on the released this month section?
PS... oh I see he never made a page for it. :(

Ah yeah, I do try and keep an eye on things like MAGS etc, in case there are games released not being added to the DB...
Thanks for link, I'll be downloading and adding it to the AGSA db.

Great - I choose
now to see a typo in my own article for this! Duh...
("This was perhaps the first game that showed
my just how well AGS"... should be "
me", if you can change it that would be great, otherwise it will remain there to mock me forever! :-D (roll))
Anyway other than that, thanks for another great issue! ;-D

Mailchimp does seem to provide an RSS feed: http://us11.campaign-archive2.com/feed?u=932f42818fe756b5affef8575&id=b1428df21d assuming this is how that section gets its data currently.
In my iPhone, that tried opening the News app abd ended up just opening the last Washington Post article I looked at.

I think though that you may have either misheard the English saying of "Oh well" and remembered it wrong, or just written it wrong:
"How well, beats your 9-to-5, I guess!"

Thanks everyone :)
First of all:
Happy Birthday MAGSAN!!
And a BIG thanx to all the people involved in releasing this great e-mag each month:
Baron: (blue Lobe Inc. comic)
Always gives me a smile when reading Blue Lobe Inc.
Stupot: ("A-Z Unrated" games)
Very nice way to stumble upon good (but often lesser know) ags games (or even canceled projects that did release a demo)
Dave (Seaman): (Golden Oldies)
A great way to find some Golden Oldie Gems!
Or, as in my case, to just refresh your memory on older ags gems.
Bicilotti: The Game blurbs (Games announced this month + Games released this month)
Perfect way to quickly keep you up-to-date about (upcoming) releases.
I especially like the format of the "just-3-lines blurbs"
Peder: (Founder, Management, and probably also writing)
Thank you so much for keeping MAGSAN up 'n running!
(I hope I covered all the people working on this magazine...)
May this MAGSAN continue to drop in my e-mail box for a looooooong time!! :)
Back from Norway and September issue is now available online: http://eepurl.com/c47jDj
Thanks arj0n! :)
Wow, you really got me confused by changing the naming pattern - thought I somehow missed out the October issue 8-0
But actually, I like the new naming. Feels more natural, especially since it starts with the current MAGS topic.
Hmm.... shoot :=
That actually was a mistake (laugh)(laugh), but yeah, I guess the reason this happened anyway is due to the naming pattern being confusing :P, so perhaps I'll stick to this way now XD

Hearing this is really bugging me though. I started a thread asking if anyone knows how he is doing.
I present the 24th & final issue of MAGSAN:

Brings a tear to my eye to see it in this final edition.

Thanks for two years of newsletter, Peder and team!

May I ask why you're ending it?
Yes you may :), I'm just re-prioritizing the things I want to do in my free time as there's just too much all at once, MAGSAN unfortunately fell too far down the list to make it.
I wonder if anyone else in the community would be interested in taking it over? Perhaps with you as "Editor" or just around for guidance for the first few issues?
I'm working on a thing, just need to do some more stuff before I share it.
Thanks for these 24 issues and good luck with your new projects, whatever they are.
I really enjoyed it. I'm sad to see it go. :undecided:
