AWESOME!!!
I have only two more days until I'm off for winter holidays for a few weeks, so I can't wait to play this game then when I have the time to soak it all!
Congratulations on the release (nod)

Lovely little game - stylish artwork and colour scheme and, while few in number, the sound and music are very effective at contributing to the atmosphere. Simple but effective plot too.
Will PM some further feedback.

I was NOT expecting that...
This game is excellent in every way. The simple colours and graphics are beautiful. The puzzles are well-designed and pace the game and story at a perfect rate.
But what really stands out is the emotions that this game evokes. I was very moved in the first few minutes because this game is so REAL. I think we all know someone who is so focused on work and has little ambition past work, no life, relationships or common sense that life really amounts to very little. I don't get emotional easily but it was hard not to empathize with the character.
My only points where you can improve the game is that the player should be able to skip the speech. I found it taking too long for the speech to finish and it got a bit annoying. As well, the music seemed appropriately depressing BUT I think there is one note in the score that is played constantly and I found that to be really grating.
Otherwise, my overview of the game is: I haven't used the words "must play" in a long time. Well done!

Thank you so much for your nice words!
This really makes all those hard hours of work worth it :-D
I'm so happy that my game has touched you, that's all I can really ask for.
Regarding speech skip, you CAN actually skip speech by pressing Return :-D
You can also use W, L, P, and U to select the verb modes.
Those are all in the manual PDF included in the game folder, but perhaps I should have included a small controls section on the start screen as well...
Thank you for taking the time to review my game :-D

Indeed. Like most people, I don't usually read manuals, I just wing it. It happens to be that I started reading the manual and at some point I thought "ok, yeah...I know how to play an AGS game!" and I didn't bother to finish reading.
You're right that since it's documented that I have no right to complain. However, one thing I learned a LONG time ago about releasing any product is that it's much better to provide something the user is used to and expects than something not expected even if documented.

Most welcome! It was a pleasure to play.
Do you agree with my analysis of the character or was I off from what was intended?

Looks cool, downloading now :)
As usual... do you have a mirror? Gamejolt doesn't work for me. :-\

Well, I never think there's ONE valid analysis of anything I do, but your thoughts are definitely interesting.
I think it's a very common thing, not least for myself, to put your energy in the 'wrong places' so to speak, and yes, that very often leads to rather pointless living in the end. I agree very much with you that the protagonist of my game is largely in the dark about what truly matters in life.
And then I have to remember the saying that all the characters you create are mirrors of yourself (laugh)

Congrats on the release!
I must get round to giving this a try... though I have to admit the colour palette is freaking me out a little.

Is the palette really that weird? :-D
I actually rather like the palette.

I actually rather like the palette.
Arj0n pointed out to me that it's actually pretty CGA-ish, which I hadn't thought of at all.
I guess it's really just ultra-classical with a 32-bit twist.
Computer game palettes come round full circle (laugh)
My first thought was that it looked like CGA, only different!

I've tested this beauty and I hope people will play it. It takes an unexpected turn in the end and from a mediocre game it turns to a really unusual and a great experience!

Very nice - though quite sad - game. I like the style a lot :)
Yeah, I saw the Future Vintage Gaming video of this and...
Spoiler
what would've really softened the blow and added some cheer-up is making a reference to the Darwin Awards.
