The best two (winzip and winace) are both shareware.

no. The winzip from the link I gave you is the one that I use. You can zip files, add to existing zip files, and un-zip files! It is also self extracting, so if you double click a zipped file, it starts to unzip it for you. ;)

What about WinRAR? RAR files are quite a bit smaller than ZIP.

yeah, I got sick of putting back the clcok for winace after I'd done with it.
Ultimate zip I use for everything but zips since winzip is marginally faster.
