I changed my signature the other day and then I noticed that my profile pic/avatar was gone. I definitely didn't go out of my way to delete that. I'm wondering if there's a bug in the page that caused the text for the avatar url to be deleted when I saved the new signature.
It could be that I somehow inadvertently did it by clicking on something I shouldn't have... but I don't think so.
I'll test it again later when I've got a moment. But for now, any ideas?
Yup - when you go to Modify Profile > Forum Profile, Specify avatar by URL will be selected but with an empty URL - making/saving any other changes without putting the URL will mean your avatar disappears.
Ahh damn. That's weird. Has it always been like that?
Well, maybe now's a good time to retire Godzilla and find a new avatar.

I had this happen to me today after changing my sig - however I am unable to now set my avatar image back to what it was:

Every time I select save, it reverts back to 'no avatar'.
Try just using http rather than https.
