Title: Paint Program Suggestions for Beginners
Post by: Will on Fri 12/10/2018 19:05:51
Hey, May I have some suggestions on What Paint Programs you could suggest like a Paint Program that even Beginners like me will like it and use it for making sprites?

I'm currently only using MS Paint which has no other features aside from making backgrounds and I want to know what Paint Program that is good to make Character Sprites easily... Thanks. :)

It's not free, but Asesprite is fairly easy to get to grips with, and you can have layers and frames for animation, plus a little window showing your drawing zoomed out to see how your pixel tweaking is doing.

I personally like Photoshop for everything. Avoid gimp. Rather go with asesprite or maybr krita.

Using Photoshop to make pixel art, is like trying to dig a small hole for your flowers using an excavator machine.

Of course if you're wanting to make something a lot more detailed than pixel art, then Photoshop and Illustrator are definitely the way to go.
