Ramsay Campbell found one of my short stories to be "eerie". Not sure if he said that so as to not have to say anything else, tbh ^_^
Anyway, it was the following 1400-word piece: https://www.creepypasta.com/the-ceremony/

Why did he comment? Was he under obligation to? If not, then he could have just ignored it, right?

Well, I personally asked him, on FB. Anyway, if you read it, maybe you can say more than just 4 words (laugh)

Pretty cool of him though and just a few positive words from a famous writer is nothing to sneeze at. Fits nicely on a book cover!
Stephen King said one sentence about the movie Evil Dead when he caught it at a film festival and that propelled the movie, a low (basically no) budget indie project, to an international release. ;)
Well, he only said it to me, so ultimately it would be my word against his (laugh)
But yes, it could have been worse. Anyway, it was nice that he even agreed to read it :)
Maybe ask him for permission to use his words as a quote on the book cover if you publish a compilation of stories in the future?
How can I expect that to happen when apparently I can't even get a friendly forum fellow poster to read the story? := := :=
