Title: Coloring Ball: Deep Sea Discovery (CLOSED)
Post by: Klatuu on Tue 23/02/2021 00:36:28
<< (https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=58765.0) Coloring Ball: Deep Sea Discovery

The ocean. Deep. Dark. Ominous. Who knows what creatures or marvels await us as these depths? Color the following shape into a wonder you find at the bottom of the sea.

[imgzoom]https://i.imgur.com/dkeX0LT.png[/imgzoom]

Standard rules apply. You may:
- Color the outline
- Use animation
- Rotate the image (90, 180, or 270 degrees) or flip it
- Use any color palette

And as always, please, no coloring outside the outline.

Good luck, deep sea divers!

It's a surprised looking (and badly drawn) mermaid!

I don't know if this is a problem on my end but Creamy's images always get blurry when trying the zoom function (while mine stay sharp). Anyone else see this?

And then you suddenly come eye to eye with the illusive Platypus Tentaclus...

Yep.

Might it be an issue with the image host site?

Deviantart is probably a poor choice for low-res pictures.

It's now hosted on Imgur.

Ah, our deep sea odyssey comes to an end. But before we surface, let's reflect on the wonders of nature we've seen.

1st: Creamy's Elephunk - What an elegant creature. I like how it almost looks like it is bowing, or maybe curtseying (or something in between) and the colours look great.

2nd: arj0n's Platypus Tentaculus - Looks cute. I'm not entirely sure on the anatomy, or body posture in terms of the lighter parts. Are we looking at its bottom and it should be looking away but has turned towards us? That's kinda how I see it, but I'm not entirely sure.

3rd: Creamy's Fancy a Shrimp - Interesting creature, though I can't say exactly what it is. A kind of dog? The ears make me think so, but the tooth (that's a tooth, right?) looks more like one of a walrus.

All three are good and close together, though.

It's supposed to be the same character. He swims to you in the 1st pic and gives you a shrimp in the 2nd.
I realize that it's totally unclear - notably because he has no ears in the 1st pic and gets a hat in the 2nd. Plus, the colors change. Whatever (laugh)

1st: arj0n
Cute creature. The black nostrils may be a little misleading. I took them for eyes at first.

2nd: Sinitrena
I like the hair.

Wonderful trophies. I'll have to add this to my signature soon.
Let's hope my "soon" is sooner than arj0n's "soon".  ;)

Hi, everyone, I know it's been a while on this topic, but i just wanted to give it a quick bump and remind arj0n they can still make a new contest if interested. Believe me, I know how busy things can get, and I know participation has been down, but I think some people would still be interested in more Coloring Balls. If you'd like to pass the torch to someone else who's willing, feel free to do so!

And a belated thank you for everyone's kind words on the trophies! They're tough to create sometimes, but fun to make!

I guess if arj0n doesn't want to, the honour should go to the second place. Just to keep this moving.

I tried to come up with something but failed so far, so Creamy you can host the next one if you want so.
Sorry.

Okay, it's now over half a year since this competition ended. Does anyone mind if I start a new round? I'll wait about 24h before doing so, just in case someone does mind  :P

I myself had no time due to a project I'm working on so I asked Creamy to start a new one, but as that never happened: be my guest and give it a go  :)
