In honour of my favourite adventure game, it’s time to draw a pirate character!

Guidelines:
1. An original pirate character
2. Who smashes pirate stereotypes in some way (not just your typical pirate...)
I.e. are they a bit clumsy(like guybrush), do they have a cat instead of a parrot, or perhaps a bionic peg leg...
3. By 10 June 2021.
Judging Criteria:
1. Character design - How interesting is the character? Do they show their personality?
2. Creativity - How unique are they? What stereotypes do they smash?
3. Artistic appeal - What’s their overall look/feel from an artistic side (colour, line, texture)?

And @creamy - the clown pirate 😄 almost think ppl would be more scared of running into him than a real pirate...

@creamy thanks for the tip, I had a bit of bother even getting the image to show up hahaha. What image hosting site do u guys usually use?
My picture is a bit rushed i never really made pixel art before just fancied something to do. Was thinking I might fix it up a bit and make it nicer before the competition ends so if I do I'll try and upload the improved one to be zoomable.

*didn't mean to say it was rushed, just pixelling takes waaaay longer to do than I had imagined and I ran out of steam by the time I was doin the parrots wing feathers and a background haha. I think the parrots body and pirate look fine but I wanted to make the rest of the parrot less messy lookin and jazz up background a bit
Now, this is a SPRITE jam, and a BG isn't normally part of the sprite. ;)

As pirates love life at sea, being buried alive in the desert was a particularly devious punishment for this pirate. But after his evil spirit was freed, he made the most of it and created a vessel that rose and fell with the dunes as if they were crashing waves, plundering caravan and ancient tomb alike for their treasures. So don't think it a mere tall tale if distant travelers tell you stories of ... the Pirate of the Sands.

I like his sour expression. Even if he's a clown pirate, it's obvious he's not happy!

A lot of really creepy combinations make this undead pirate scary and unsettling.

There's a lot of great detail on the parrot, and even the tiny pirate shows a lot of character.

Would hate to run into this guy… he’s so confused about his identity (am I a clown or a pirate?) he’s sure to not be all there. Very interesting character and concept!

I like your use of shades ‘ different colours to add depth to his bandages. And even having the loose wraps is good attention to detail.

This round of the competition is over since the middle of June and it's now the end of August. Iamarobot hasn't been online since July.
I don't want to see this competition die, so I offer to start the next round, unless someone else has a great idea for a new topic and actually entered this round and is therefore more worthy of getting this honour. Otherwise, I volunteer as tribute and I'll start the next round in the next 24h. ;-D
