Pliers, Glove and broken Glasses

In the basement, check the contents of the bottom drawer carefully

I tried a lot of things with the boxes but did not succeed. There is for sure no separate hotspot and nothing on the boxes except one red label and a small label and the word "Medium" on the other. When I try any object on them I get the answer "Won't do any good'.
If you mean glove, this was the first thing I took when I was on the rooftop. You are not referring to that?
The patch with charcoal also seems to be a dead-end. I can push it but this has no effect

Was a pre-condition to get into the basement. I have the glove, pliers and broken glasses. The blade broke when opening the fuse box.

there's a peculiar noise when you open that drawer that I didn't notice at first.

I probably need the sponges to scrub the charcoal marks. I can think of a thousand ways to get them - the fishing rod, the broom,... - but of course that's not THE correct way to do it  :tongue:

did you close the door in the bathroom?
You will need a glass shard to get the hook from the fishi(n)g rod (a typo I found)
To get the sponge, you will need two more items

the toy car? Open the doors of the car :-)

I've uncovered the numbers on the roof and I read the note saying they need to be used in reverse, but I cannot find a place to use them.
I thought there might be something hidden behind the bookcase, but the books all seem to be triggering the generic response and there is little else around. Halp?

wet the sponge? The only water I can remember seeing is the dripping tiles in the basement but trying to use the sponge on them tells me it won't get wet.

I'm also trying to wet the sponge. Neither of the two taps in the house are giving me water and it says they must be closed at the main valve, but I can't find the main valve.

Or is there another way to wet the sponge using the dripping water?

You need the vase from the back of the hall
and use it on the wet tiles and you will also need the soap

I could have sworn I had tried picking up the vase, but I guess not.

Where's the soap?
