Yeehaa! I bought today an HP Scanjet 3500c , and now I can finally scan my art. I did just very quickly one test... and coloured it very quickly abit in photoshop... It's bad... but atleast I have one, and can start drawing backgrounds for games ;)

You couldn't crop that pic just a teeeeeensiest bit, could you? 967x1547 is just a wee bit big when the pic only takes up a fraction of that!

I'm OK cause I've got a big fat pipe, but others might be on dial-up!

Yeah, since I myself am on dial-up, I agree - It doesn't exactly speed things up... A good cropping is what it needs...

The picture itself is not bad - The arms are too short, though - They should reach a bit below the waist to be anatomically correct.
His legs could also use a straightening - They bulge a bit too much as it is now, I'm afraid - It looks like he's about to crap his pants, to be perfectly honest...
Maybe you could work on his face a bit as well - It's a bit simplistic, me thinks.

But a good job, anyhow! I like the style a lot.

Penguinx

I like it just as it is, anatomical problems and all. It's very stylized. As long as your other character designs were consistent with these 'problems' then I'd say go with it.

I can't put my finger on it, but something about it really appeals to me. I like the big, fat, jaggy lines.

Minimi

wow, man all these good comments. I just showed this as an example that my scanner works :p

I made this picture in about 2 minutes, while I was lying in bed... YES im drawing in bed. (only when its late and im bored) ... anyway, thanks for the advice of the arms... I should really take a good look at that, and sorry I didn't took the time, to scale the picture.

*goes off scanning some more (better) art*

Andail

Minimi, resize and/or crop that image or take it down...
I see one square meter of blank dented paper on my screen, and I don't enjoy it.

Minimi

andail : It's part of the composition. You can practically read the lonelyness in his eyes. The title is actually, Lost in Lonelyness.

heh minime, I guess you've got a point, but better upload a cropped version and link to the full image.
Anyway very nice stylish drawing, I like the rough lines and the overall sketchiness of it :)

Minimi, maybe you can replace the pic in your original post with that one, and just provide a link to the full-size pic if you want?

Anyway, I really like it.  The style really appeals to me.
