I was searching today for more free applications, and I'm not sure weither you already know this, but there is an absolutely free version of Truespace! This program is around the $300, but version 3.2 is free to download. I tried it, and it works very easy, and is also powerful!

Here is the link : http://forms.caligari.com/forms/ts3all_free.html

I hope this is useful for some of you...

I think I start to understand the "Moderatorism"! :D

Shouldn't this post go on the "Big list of programs" thread or in your previous Thread about free paintng program?  ??? You can edit the headlines of the threads you start...

I think Mr. Colossal has the final word...   :)
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

What about Milkshape 3D?
What you guys think about it?

Cos I was considering staring using it... seems easy to use, supports many games, and although it's not free you have to pay only $25 for it!

So, what are it's pros and cons, and could you tell me how it compares to other programs, etc? ???
Don't blame me - I didn't know it!   (I have the feeling this will come handy...)

Pro: Doesn't cost that much money for a 3d program.
Con: Blender is free and probably better
Solution: Click link below, download blender, then go to elYsiun forums and look for tutorials at the top of the forums.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

Thanks for the tip, shbazjinkwodfhsdxz! (sp ;) )

I'l check it out but I... what about easiest to use?
I heard Milkshape is really easy to learn and, since I never modeled before (well, I did some small models once, but just for fun) I wanted to start with the easiest - but I'll keep Blender's site in my favourites ;)
Do you know about a 3D modeling softwares review site?
'Cos I wanted to see more comparissons between those two. :-\

EDIT:
I checked Blender's site and... wow! It seems to be really good!
It has polygon meshes, NURBS surfaces, bezier and B-spline curves, metaballs and many other things that are really difficult to find in a FREE modeling software (I mean, I haven't checked it but it's TOTALLY FREE, right?).
It seems to be very professional too, although this means it's kinda more difficult to learn; so I guess I'll start using a easier to learn, simple software (read: Milkshape 3D) and when I get profficient enough with it I'll move to Blender (if nothing 'better' shows up until then).

I even considered purchasing a copy of Milkshape...!
Guess that if I really need I'll have to look for a illegal "not too expensive" ($25 is about R$75 now :-\ ) copy of it.

Heh, almost forgort: BLENDER HAS TEH LENS FLAER TOO!!!!11111111%$! ;D

I find Blender to be easy to use, once you figure out the keyboard shortcuts. They're essential to memorize and not exactly easy to figure out without help.

You can browse through these directory's and read the manuals for the older versions of Blender (much of the stuff has remained the same, or is easy to figure out if it hasn't) Manual - direct download (~30mb pdf)

Here is a huge tutorial list, to get you started.

I like Blender, but then a friend of mine once said, "Do what you feel, and you'll always feel good."

Thanks for all your help, shbazjinkens! (I copy & pasted it this time ;D )
As I said, now that I'm aware of all Blender 'features' (including its price ::) ) I'll move to it when I get profficient enough with Milkshape 3D. (It really seems easier to use for me, having less features and, therefore, less things to learn and all).
And thanks for all your tips and for the links you posted (they are really handy) ;)

While I'm on my Blender pimp, someone started on a Monkey Island game and made a demo. I asked for it the other day and the guy emailed it to me, it's a bit buggy, but overall the graphics are AWESOME. Look through the toon section of the Blender gallery and you'll see how versitile it is.. the graphics are similar in stlyle to the later MI games.

I wish I had more time and I could maybe work on it, but for now, if anyone wants to play it PM me your email and I'll send it. It's 1.86mb.
