Hi, i`m a little desperate here. I just don`t know how to draw. I`ve watched some toturals but they don`t help me some further. And if i look at al those painting programs i get crazy. Wich painting program should i use? And is there maybe someone who wants to learn me how to draw?

Ever heard of a little drawing program called MS Paint?

Phemar

Use MSpaint, it's cool for beginners. After that move onto IDraw, and when you're really ready go for paintshop pro (commercial) then when you want more advanced stuff, go for gimp (free) or adobe photoshop (commercial)

hehe... I feel your pain. :)
I had the same problem a while back.
When you hang around this forum it's easy to be discouraged by all the amazing graphics people post. I read all the tutorials and understood nothing. Then I started to draw. At first i drew only heads. Head after head after head. When I started out they looked like shit, but after a short while they got better. Then I started drawing other things, and noticed that I drew those better. My best advice would be to choose _one_ thing to draw. a cat, dog, face, hand, house...whatever. Draw that again and again. Try to improve it every time. Everyone knows what a face looks like. The problem is getting the lines and curves right. In my experience it doesn't matter what you draw, it will still improve your style. Always carry pad and pencil with you. Each time you have a spare moment, (sitting on a bus or something), DRAW!
If you draw a lot you start thinking about drawing more. You start noticing things when you look around.
I have walked around with a pad and pencil for four months now, and I have really improved. I nowhere near as good as some of the people posting here, but I am a lot better than I gave myself credit for and still getting better.
If you need some inspiration this might help.

Remember: You know how to draw, you just have to teach your hands how!

i`ve already worked with paint but it isn`t quite powerfull. For example, how do you get those effects on the ground or wall? (colorchanges you know)

Minimi, do you find that the GIMP crashes if you try to save its native format (XCF)? Becuase that's what happens with me every time and I'm fed up of it!

no, it works fine with me. Do you have the latest version, of GTK, or TheGimp? Try reinstalling the GTK, and if that's not it, maybe you have the instable version downloaded. Try downloading the stable version from : http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/

there is a "Big List of Paint Programs" sticky thread right here in this subforum. Its there for everyone, and there for a reason. We don't know your style, you've just told us one style you don't like. We need more info on your style for us to better help give you an answer.

The best thing to do is study the style you like and try to imitate it.. At first you'll have trouble getting a good style, but if you have patience and keep practicing, you'll eventually get what you want.. Just remember, it takes years of hard work to become a great artist.
