I've have been playing the game for a while now, and i've done well, but now i'm stuck!

I'm in the bathroom looking for the spot in the wall to knock out with a pickaxe. I can't find the spot, and I don't have a pickaxe. I had one in day 4, but lost it after I was knocked out. I put the machette, strip of leather, and salt together properly. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Have I missed a step? Do I need to talk to someone?
Please help!

why not try reading the walkthrough linked  at the top of this page ;D

 >:( I did read the walkthrough. That was how I found out what needed to be done in the first place. How would I know that I needed a pickaxe and that I needed to knock out some tiles, if I never played the game before, and hadn't read the walkthrough, or been told what to do by someone? ???

I had been having trouble finding the exact spot to knock out the tiles. I also didn't have a pickaxe. The walkthrough doesn't tell you that you have to disassemble the machette from the salt and the strip of leather to use as a pickaxe, does it? If you don't know that you need to do that, and if you don't know how to do that, how do you know to do it? You don't!

It shouldn't even say that you need a pickaxe, it should say that you need to disassemble the machette from the ghost locator, and use THAT as a pickaxe, right? Perhaps you should read the walkthrough. Didn't Chris say to read the FAQ and archives before asking questions, and such? I did just that, hoping to avoid having to post a question in the first place, and to avoid getting a reply like yours. It obviously didn't work.Ã,

If you had read the walkthrough, you would know that the answers I was looking for weren't there, or at least not written clearly. That was why I asked for help. It said to first use a pickaxe on tiles, then it said to use the machette on tiles. Having to diassemble anything wasn't mentioned. I was confused! Plain and simple. I was taken back before about the tiles. It said use pickaxe on tiles, instead of ghost locator. You are supposed to use the ghost locator to find the spot on the tiles to find the bodies, and then use the diassembled machette to open up the tiles, to get to the bodies in the first place.Ã,  The whole disassembly thing regarding the machette should be included in the walkthrough. It would make things so much easier to understand, don't you think?

Anyway, I have found out what I needed to do on my own, obviously. I finished the game yesterday. I just thought I would let everyone know.

Thanks for the sarcasm. You should keep it to yourself next time, though. It's not appreciated. You may have meant to be friendly, but it didn't come out that way. Oh, and next time be sure to read the walkthrough yourself, and make sure that the answer to a persons questioned isn't answered in it, or answered in a easy to understand way, before assuming that the person didn't think to do their own research first. Just a thought.

Hey hold on, sorry If it sounded sarcastic.................it wasn't meant to, HONEST!

But re your comments................. How would I know that I needed a pickaxe and that I needed to knock out some tiles, if I never played the game before, and hadn't read the walkthrough, or been told what to do by someone?Ã, Ã,  Well I, as probably heaps of others worked it out without reading the walkthrough..................and before you go on and on.................as a relative newbie member to this site you would be staggered at how many times peeps ask for help without even bothering to use search button or bother toÃ,  read walkthroughs..............if you had done a search for this game you would have seen this for yourself!

perhaps it may have been better if you had said you had read the walkthrough but were still confused................... BTW which walkthrough are you using 'cos there a couple floating about and one is more thorough than the others - http://www.agagames.com/agswalkthroughs/soldb.php?cmd=showGame&id=104

Does he strengthen you to chill the eff out?
"So I've proved my point a thousand fold," snorts Davis. "Ho ho."

I'm sorry about my own attitude. While my post as a whole wasn't bad, I had my moments. I apologize, but you did sound sarcastic.

I am aware that many people don't do a search to find their answers, before posting. However, I am not one of them. I know that it can be irritating for others to hear the same thing over, and over again. I try not to be monotonous. I also try to use my common sense, which says to look in as many other places as possible before posting. I sincerely tried to do that.

Perhaps, it would have been better if I had said I had read the walkthrough. It just didn't cross my mind. The walkthrough that I read wasn't clear. I just figured that saying that I had read it wouldn't make sense. I was wrong about that. Sorry.

That was actually the walkthrough that I had read. It gets a little unclear on day 5. I just found out that there is a FAQ on the game makers website http://netmonkey.cellosoft.com/5days/ That actually tells you about needing to disassemble the machette from everything else. I wish that I had known about that, before all of this.

Anyway, I am very sorry. I know that you meant well. I've already come into contact with some not so kind people, and I just put myself on guard, and I didn't stop to think that maybe you were actually trying to be nice.

I truly am sorry, and I hope that even after all of this, that in the future we can be friends. I am not a bad person, and I'm usually not so quick to jump the gun. I just want you to know that.

Thank you for your help. That I appreciate! :)

Dear QueenAmazing1:

Well, there's a walkthru at

http://www.agagames.com/agswalkthroughs/soldb.php?cmd=showGame&id=104

Hope it may help you if you get stuck again: this game is difficult to play, and its puzzles are very challenging. I must confess I couldn't finish it without hints and tips I read here and there.

If that was the walkthru you dind't understand, pls write
"spoiled" tips to change it accordingly, ok?

If you don't like walkthrus - they mostly spoil discoveries by our own, then pls feel free to post again.

Best Regards (for U - and for Jane too :-)

I'm happy you've liked the game, it's really challenging.
Pls don't thank me, thank Jane (I verified she has been an excellent contributor to this forum, and always helps stuck people) and all marvellous people who create free excellent games for everybody's enjoyment. I felt I should contribute a little, so here's why now I replayÃ,  games to write walkthrus of them, and when I start a new one I always try do the same.

If and when you needÃ,  something, pls post (here's always someone who'll help you) and thank you very, very much for your so kind words: God bless you too, and us all :-)
