I'd like to learn PHP and really don't know where to start. Useful links?

Hey!
If you're willing to spend a little money you should consider vtc (virtual training company)

http://www.vtc.com/usa.php

It's full of streaming video full training courses for almost any software program around. Twenty five bucks a month gives you access to everything. It's great I have learned some many programs from this. Recomend you look into it.

You could just sign up for a month take the course on php programming and then cancel.

Hope this helps you at all

http://www.php.net is really the only thing you need. PHP's documentation is for the most part excellent.

You could go down to your local library. My library has some quite complete books about Computer Languages

I learned through php.net, one simple example script, and AJA's patient(sp?) instruction, which he kindly gave me if I ran into trouble...

So, read the docs at php.net, find example scripts, and ask a friend, if you have one who knows PHP.
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

I think I may try and learn from this link.. I have no idea what I would use it for.. Maybe I could start a web design business!! hah

What I did was Google for tutorials regarding any topic I needed help with, used the PHP.net manuals, and bugged Fuzzpilz incessantly on IRC for a month or so...
