Off the Side Space ships

Here are some sketches i did for my game Off the Side and i wanted to know what the C&C team thought of them...

Wow, those sketches really have some character, the only thing that bugged me is that space ship doesn't look like a sapace-ship, I didn't even know what it was before I read the title above it....

Ive started to draw it out on the computor now. It's only drawn out with a black out lines with basic colours at the moment.





Are the colours I've chosen allright?

Looks good to me, but maybe you should make the cockpit window thing a tad darker.  Its entirely up to you, but if it was me, I would darken it a little.   Are you going to need that window transparent?

I forgot about the cockpit. I've eddited the my preveouse post now. Is this colour ok...too dark?

I started colouring the front area a bit too.

id lose the black outline at the back, it looks odd when the rest of the ship isnt outlined

I second DanClarke's comment.

Also, I love what you did with those red wings. I would apply a similar texture to the metallic (blue-ish) parts of the ship. I think it would give the hull a more metallic look and it looks neat!

When the rocket starts a rocket pops out of the back.

hmm... looks very...in lack of a better word..."plain". how about some sort of insignia or something on the nose, and/or a colored ribbon along the bottom edge of the cockpit glass. and maybe even a couple of indentations on the rear end of the hull. just some small details to spice it up. the hard part is over, and you've done a good job!

the shadowing on the top 'fin' needs to be reversed, the shadow should be on the inside.

Ok. I've modifyes it with some dents, a code on the rear of the ship and changed the shadowing on the rear fin. Also i've added a gradient to make it look less flat.
