One thing I noticed: The wrong side of the axe is bloody! The way he has swung the axe, the other blade would have been the cutting one

If he just rotated his upper body along with the swing, you're right.
But if he does a baseball swing, the axe actually turns, so the image would be correct.

much improved tanker, maybe you should look into drawing in 640x480 rather than 320?
