my colors have gone crazy

this doesn't have much to do with the base of ags so i'm posting it here. my color schemes r going all weird whenever i test one of my games. they all become brighter and its really hard on the eyes

i am sure this is a computer problem with my colors because it does the same in a few other programs.

anyone have any idea what i could do to try and fix this?

You could try, downloading the most recent video drivers for your computer, and maybe a windows update.

after i looked around a bit more i narrowed down my problem. for some strange reason any 16 bit color goes really bright on my computer for saome reason. all the other colors work fine but even if i set my desktop to 16 bit everything gets really bright

  this is really confusing me, any ideas why one color set would just go haywire?

Two things:

1) Check if your monitor has a 'setting' for each screen configuration. Sometimes the settings for 640x480 are different from 800x600.

2) You coudl really have a problem with your graphic card. Check new drivers in their web site.

Whenever I play an AGS game with a fade up or down, during the fade, the colours on my screen get inverted. someone told me this was something to do with refresh rate s but I don't understand. can anyone help?

If you guys can make the error happen could please let Chris know what you are doing. This happens is several of my games on several different computers. I have been unable to pinpoint the exact problem. Of course, Chris couldn't help because I didn't have enough information about the error.
