Hi. As I a new member, actually I have just signed up - although I've been using AGS for about a year now - I'll introduce myself: I'm Marcelo Murrer, I'm 20 and I'm from Brazil. I don't usually have much trouble using AGS, once it has a very user-friendly interface, the manual is just great and the scripting language is very objective. I can't do much of the advanced stuff yet, but I'm working on it. I preffer to try out and learn things on my own instead of asking for help whenever I have a minor problem or doubt.
NOW, TO BUSINESS: I'm working on a game right now. It isn't a serious game, I'll just test my knowlege on scripting and AGS logic. It's an adult comic game and will be sort of a parody of the sci-fi movie/game style. Very dark and sarcastic humour is required for anyone to enjoy the story and also some geek Star Wars, Space Quest 'n stuff culture.
I want to make an intro and I want to put some scrolling text, StarWars-style, showing the historical backgrounds of the story.
I know this may be impossible or weight too complicated.
In case it's impossible, I'd like to know the script for some ordinary vertical scrolling text.
Thanks,
Marcelo
PS: By the way, I may not be of great use solving your scripting doubts/requests, but I'm a professional musician and I can help creating soundtracks for your stuff. I work with many styles, just contact me.

Hi, welcome to AGS. Theres a thread about this in the techincal archive if you're interested, which will help to actually get the exact star wars style (fading into the horizon).

It requires a bit of copying and pasting scripting though, and you may have to read the whole thread if you want to find a bug-less version. :)
