Keyloggers

I need some help.  Does anyone know of any good keyloggers than CANNOT be detected by anti-spyware software?

I already know of various peices of keylogging HARDWARE, but software is more to my preference.  All the software I've tried has been detected by my anti-spyware utility.  I already know that I can simply set the utility to ignore the program, but that's not going to help.  I need something that can go absolutely undetected.

JUST SO YOU KNOW: I'm not promoting spyware, or adware, or warez, or anything of the sort.  I just need a keylogger for my own computer in my own home (not anyone else's) so I can do some surveillance.  That is all.

Please help me as best as you can.

I don't think the AGS forums is the right place to be asking for help in find a good "keylogger", as in general, keyloggers are usually considered an illegal type of spyware/ malware and are usually not a welcome program to have on a computer...

However, that being said, if it's YOUR own computer that you want to willingly install such spyware junk, then, you could most likely adjust any settings of your anti-spyware program to ignore a program that you wanted to keep installed.

There are also other ways (without using spyware) to reveal usage of files/programs/accessed-websites/documents/etc.. on a computer by accessing the MRU (Most Recently Used) lists, but I won't get into specifics about that.  ;)

Stick a webcam connected to another computer pointing at the keyboard...

I heard recently about some compnay that sells keylogging stuff for people to spy on their wives/kids suing the antispyware ppl for branidn their software as spyware...

Barbarian:  I wasn't sure if I should ask here or not.  But I figured it was worth a try.  I've gotten software advice from many people on this board, so I didn't really think it would hurt anything.

BTW, thank your for the idea.  ;)  Maybe I'll do a little research on that instead of hunting down the software I desire and forking over money to acquire it.

SSH:  Your webcam idea is good, but will no doubt be frustrating, and time consuming, not to mention HD space consuming. :P  But it's a good idea, I guess.

I don't think it should be labeled as spyware.  If it's sole purpose is for security or surveillance and you're using it on your own computer, that is.

I'm curious. Surveillance on your kids to see that they aren't looking up boobies? Your wife to see that she isn't visiting #sex chat rooms? Surveillance on your roommate to see if he's looking up boobies so you can make fun of him?

In my (personal) opinion, keylogging is about the lowliest things to do in a home (especially in a home.) And yes, keyloggers *should* be labeled as spyware and even as malware, as they illegally record someone's typing without the person's permission. You can use it for example to record the credit card/social security numbers of your roommates.

It's deeply despicable.   >:(  (The grin is not about you, it's about spyware in general.   :) )

MrColossal

you could put a Sony cd in your computer, get infected with their little spyware thingie, add %sys% to the name of the keylogger and then run it..

But that... is stupid...

You can buy a little thing that the keyboard plugs into and then plugs into the computer, it logs all keystrokes and then prints them on screen when you tell it too.

I think it's pretty obvious: he needs to check out what he gets up to when he's Mr Hyde.

So this friend of my dad's friend pretends to be a 13-year old girl on chatroom so he can keep tabs on his daughter.
Hooray for that kind of thing!

That's brilliant. :)

Hands up who believes this explanation.

About the original request, perhaps you should explain why you want to do this - people might be more willing to help if they knew it wasn't for some morally reprehensible activity.
