Never seen the word "homo" used so often in a single thread before.

I think you're all wrong and right.
Most people probably use "Homo Sapiens" as a plural, which means the dictionary is simply outdated.
The dictionary doesn't make the language, the language makes the dictionary.
Just because it was originally "thou" doesn't mean "you" is inaccurate.
Anyway, I'm sure that was a good 10 minutes of our time wasted.
Let's stay on topic now.

A duck. But no ordinary duck. This duck has lethal venom if it breaks your skin. If you disturb this duck, he will first bite you and inject you with venom, and/or swallow you whole.
Only problem is, he has no teeth, and he's way too small to swallow anything whole.

The lesser running-tufted duck of the subclass beardorama
or Dorcas malorcas eventually became extinct due to only ever eating prunes and there never ever being any restrooms on the way (don't you hate that).
Lesser running-tufted duck migrates south for the winter and is always in need of bathroom facilities. There were reported sightings of these precious creature up until 1940, but D.malorcas has since dissapeared. Scientist believe that if the species could have just held out another couple of decades - the rise in the number of convenievce stores (7/11, Circle K ect.) would have been able to see a surge in their numbers, possibly to epic proportions - but who knows ? or cares?

Man this was hard. Many entries were surprisingly even, great ideas/concepts balanced out shoddy spriting  and I changed my opinion several times.
If animations are allowed, ProgZmax 2:nd entry is the winner. Artwise, it's fantastic.
Else, the trophy goes to Afflict. Purely regarding nicest sprite Seaduck would have been the winner, but
Afflict's use of the topic (Pacifism as a shortcoming was just genius) won my heart.
A honorable mention goes to dr Frisby, Mordalles and Zooty as well.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's been a pleasure.
