Characters

I need a nice site to download extra characters.  I have no artistic ability whatsoever so I can't draw my own.  As in a post by someone else I checked:

But they wouldn''t help me because the first one wouldn't display itself and I couldn't figure out which program to use to open the second one's pictures.  I really need help.

For the second one (Instagame) - Open them in AGS! You know, since you'll be importing them into it eventually anyway. Then you can copy them into whatever program you usually use, if you want to ater them at all. Or, google for a program capable of opening/editing pcx files (you could also try The Big List of Paint Programs).

And I'll add the RON site, as a possible source of characters.

I downloaded the first link's pictures but they were in GIF format.  How could I change them to put them into my game?

You don't need to change them, AGS can import GIFs. With those ones you just need to select and import one frame of the animation at a time, it's a little time consuming but not that hard.
