But ... but ... I thought everything just runs better on a Mac???

You weren't looking at the adverts closely enough. Now, here is an excerpt from one of the ads. Look CLOSELY now!

Everything just runs better on a Mac! Except Adobe Photoshop.

Guess we were all wrong.

Amiga OS4 is the only OS I want, to see just how fast it really is.

This debate keeps finding its way to forums everywhere, doesn't it?

My (heavily summarized) opinion is this: Use whatever the hell you feel like, don't be elitist and respect the fact that not everybody agrees.

To those who feel windows is unstable, and therefore state that windows is inferior, that's simply not true. If a computer user is a dumbass, whatever OS he/she uses will in the end stop working correctly.

To those who say Mac/*nix is better because they don't have viruses, well, let them get up to windows' market share and we'll see how things are then (and don't start your yapping about "but you can't write viruses for mac/*nix, because they're not as crappily coded as windows, because believe me, wherever there's software, there's openings. It's just that not many people are looking for them in non-windows OS' because the point of viruses is to hit as many people as possible.)

To those who simply use what they use and are happy with it - kudos! I use XP, OSX and I've got an ubuntu test setup, along with a system running freesco for routing purposes. They all have their strong points :)

I'll stop now.
Still here.
