Hi, I got AGS yesterday, and have started making a game. Here are the characters I've made so far.
So, Whad'ya think?

Very nice! I'd be very interested to see the game involving all these characters. Some sort of undercover voodoo clan adventure ;) ?

I can't see much to criticise. The short fat guy has some strange pose going on with his left leg, and is left arm seems a little longer than the right, but other than that, great job!

EDIT: looking at it a second time, some of their face colours seem to be a little off: orange with brown/grey?

Now, with his very own game: Alien Time Zone

Thanks for the comments.  :)

I've redone the bald dudes legs and arm, and adjusted some of the skin colors.

Damn, this looks good!

I like your style!

I think some of them look really really white in their face...

specially the guy in the blue sweather.

other than that I dont see anything to change...

Peder Johnsen.

These are some really nice sprites. You just got AGS yesterday and are already in progress of making a game? Good luck with that, you have a nice foundation with the characters that you have made already....
Thewalrus

Goo, goo, ga, joob!!!

"Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come!"

Das Plans

Wow! Just looking at those sprites is a massive inspiration. These are great! Good luck with your project there.

Stupot

Nice sprites mate.
Have you got an idea of the story line of your game yet?.. I want to know how the shull head mohawk guy comes into it.

[off-topic] Do you need music for the game?  I'd be more than willing to help if you need someone. [off-topic] \

Oh, I'm supposed to critique it? Well, it all looks great except for the stance of the hooded guy on the far right. It looks like he is bent weird. Make his stance straight.
I'm composing the music for this game:

Chicky

I don't like the obvious Indy paint-over in some of the sprites legs (as the other ones look soo much better!) maybe you just referenced foa?

Otherwise very good my friend, welcome to ags!

Good job(perfect in fact).
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

Peder Johnsen: Thanks. The guy is the blue shirt is intentionally paler than the others, I might make him even paler to make it look more intentional.

thewalrus: Thanks. Yes, I have a few ideas for my game( puzzles and such), but no story or anything is planned out yet.

Das Plans: Thanks man.

Stupot: Thanks, No real story yet. The skull head guy was just random, I don't really know what part he'll play yet.

Steel Drummer: That would be great!, thanks. I haven't got far enough to know what kind of music would suit the game, When I have an idea of what would fit, I'll pm you.

Edit: Thanks, I see about the hooded guy, I'll be fixing him. thanks for pointing that out.

Chicky: No paintovers, I just based the legs on the Foa style(the darker line on the inside of the leg and the feet are the main elements) I used this as inspiration-http://www.theindyexperience.com/interviews/img/barwood_interview_foa_screen.gif

Dualnames: Thanks.

I'll be posting a thread about my game in the games in production section sometime soon. (maybe a week or so)

Haddas

Yeah I really like those. as was said before the hooded guy kind o flooks like he's "tipping over", but this is just nitpicking. anyway, if you're looking for music don't hesitate to contact me or steeldrummer. I have a few tracks made that haven't been placed in a game yet.

You are clearly proficient in sprite design, so this edit only addresses a few things.

1.  Adjusted the pose of some of the characters to bring them more in line with each other.

2.  Adjusted the shading on the girl to reduce the saturation a bit, also moved her left arm more out of view as it should be.

You've done a great job here, I would say the only thing you need to pay attention to are saturated colors like those on the skeleton guy and the girl, since you have several similar shades that are barely visible.
