Now even though this is already out of control

...I just need to know why am i contently battling with people/ & why they start with me.

I mean I read the forum rule's but everyone makes it seem like there is a fine print in it & I am just a blind bat

tell me...I just don't see it...

like my post were we were talking about COD I think. Everyone made so many good/mean comments that i felt tricked that's why I blow up like that....

It could be your lack of grammar. But hell, what do I know.

When I first joined here, I made an ass of myself. That was mainly due to my age (I was 9 at the time I believe) so the only thing I can say is be mature and actually use punctuation and grammar.

Icey

humm....I think that is it! or part of it least

You say you've read the forum rules but, it seems you weren't following it completely. From the last thread you've opened up I can see why people acted the way they did.

I joined the forums when I was around 14 and let me tell you there are quite a number of posts in the past that just makes me cringe (I never really got into any sort of trouble though, since my sis is a spelling and grammar Nazi- it rubbed off on me). My maturity was quite questionable, still kind of is, but I stay behind the red lines.

Tip 1) If you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all.
      2) don't get offended if someone bashes you for something you did, part of acting mature is being the bigger
person here, if the majority of people on the forums say you're doing something wrong, then you probably are,
just say sorry, keep mum and don't do anything until you read the rules a million more times til you understand
what it is you are doing wrong; it's not that hard.

Most of the people who replied to your completed game thread were really just trying to help and I could tell they were being very patient.

Members around here tend to mock (within reason) those who don't follow simple guidelines, just saying you "read the rules" isn't enough, you have to actually follow it.

(and don't tell me you did, because you didn't, plain and simple)

AGS might not be the community for you, at least not right now. It doesn't matter how old you are, what matters is how old you behave.

I don't get up set right away when people say something I don't like, only when it keeps pile-ling on top of me.

it may seem like it but i did read the rules.

Well how about we look at a few of your posts and cross reference them with the rules?

For some time now I have been working on pmq1 gold hits now I have made up my mine to start on part 2 but I don't want it to be a demo so I am going to make it into 3-4 chapters frist off since my game was really ff.xiii I will be making chap 1:ifrit's crystal + and the game will be in a ps1 ff7-9 like world so I am making the players 3d like.

1) Your game must actually be 'in production'.
2) A minimum of two (in-game) screenshots must be available.
3) You must have a clear outline of the story/plot.
4) ONE thread per game only!
5) The subject line must be the title of your game.
6) Progress/Status Report (optional)
1) you have shown no evidence of your game being in production.

2) No screenshots have been provided.

3) No outline of the plot was provided.

4) As far as I could see... you only posted one thread for this game. This rule was followed.

5) Although "Pub master quest 2" was in the title, you did not follow the format set out in the rules, and it seems like you didn't even take the time to read it back, as there are spelling errors in it. (Coming = comeing)

6) This was not provided.

All in all... One rule out of 6 followed...

Quote from: The Rules
1. There MUST be a finished download of your project available.
2. The thread title must contain the game's name. Starting a thread just titled "My new game" is not acceptable.

1) Not Followed.
2) Followed.

Reading the rules is no use, Icey, unless you follow them. I'm not going to dig up any more of your posts, but you always seem to be posting in the wrong place, such as the time you tried to start your own competition without authorisation (the competitions thread is restricted). This gets on peoples nerves, and you've been doing it for almost a year now. How are we supposed to believe that you've read the rules if you continue to disregard them?

You lash out at people who tell you to follow the rules, and act as though they've 'got it in for you' and you never, ever, EVER take any advice given on board. Why post if you aren't willing to listen to the replies? Because you never do anything, people repeat the criticisms/advice. (This is possibly why you feel the people are "pile-ling" (a.k.a. piling) on top of you.)

past 10 months, but for a long time your posts were completely unreadable. It's not a difficult thing to get right. Everyone else can do it, why can't you?

I didn't download your game, but from what I've heard, it's a complete mess of thrown together ripped graphics with an unintuitive and poorly created user interface and an unnecessary file size. It appears that you have put little to no not enough effort into your game, and have not made any attempt to remedy the flaws that people have mentioned in the Completed Game Thread.

So in these posts, you scored a 2 out of a possible 8, and an acceptable 7. There is no 'fine print' you are missing. You are missing the bold print. There is even an example of how to make a GIP thread in the rules!

My suggestions:
Learn and master the English language. There is even a help thread in these forums!
Spell check things that you write.
Beta test your games before you release them.

I hope you found this useful, I'm making one last attempt to get through to you here... I just hope you don't ignore my advice as you have ignored so many others...

it may seem like it but i did read the rules.

I think you have identified the problem right there.  The act of reading the rules is less important than appearing as though you have read the rules.  I've read through them a couple of times since I signed up, but I'll be the first to admit that I don't remember what every rule is  (probably could do with a reread, now that I think about it).  But I haven't gotten into much trouble here, because I'm familiar enough with the types of behavioral expectations that generally accompany message boards with moderate standards of conduct and rule enforcement.  So I generally behave appropriately to the setting without having to think about it.

You don't have the luxury of a "natural" tendency follow the rules right now, because you haven't internalized them yet.  It really is a learned thing.  Spend enough time on forums like this one, and you'll eventually catch on.  Until then, it might not hurt you to be a little extra careful.

One thing you might try doing is reading (or scanning) the rules again every time you start a new thread.  Both the main forum rules, and the rules for the subforum you are posting in.  This sounds really boring and time wasting, especially since you have already read them, but you shouldn't have to do it too many times before you catch on.  I would also do this when people start "piling on" as you say.  See if you can find the rule they say you are breaking, read it carefully, and do your best to follow it in the future.  If you can't find the rule in question, try asking in as polite terms as possible where the rule is that you are breaking.  Make sure they know that you looked.  Most likely someone will be happy to point it out for you (whether or not they do so politely).

Scarab pointed out a couple of specific rule violations.  What you need to learn to do is spot them on your own and prevent them from happening.  Try to improve, and most importantly try to make it "look" like you are trying to improve, because it is true that any number of things could be happening on your end, but unless they are obvious to people on the forum, not everyone is going to assume the best.

To put this another way: I have often seen you say that you do read the rules and listen to the advice people give you (personally, I am inclined to believe you, for what it's worth).  The problem is that some people are not seeing evidence that these are things you are doing.  So what you need to do is manipulate people into believing that you follow rules and listen to advice.  Get inside their heads as best you can and ask yourself "if I were this person, what would Icey have to do to make me think he was following rules and taking advice."

Italian bastards! They always read your mind. 8)

Personally I like when the ice cream is red and feels like strawberry. Speaking of which why the taste of ice-cream strawberry doesn't even match the real one? In my opinion it barely resembles it. I love strawberry and strawberry ice-cream, but I've always noticed that.

I will look up for an article I found once stating the weirdness and it gives an explanation behind that, so I will edit this.

I know exactly what you mean... like there is a particular 'flavour' that has been named 'strawberry flavour' and is used in sweets, ice cream, milk shakes etc, but it doesn't really taste anything like strawberries when you think about it.... same goes for banana 'flavour'.

Yes, indeed Stu, also the banana flavour which is my favorite! ;D, also a great number of ice-cream/candy flavours are this way. I've always kind of wondered why.

Yeah, and don't forget cola flavour. From past experience I now never eat anything that spells Cola as Kola. I can still taste those Kola cubes now >:(

Dualnames

I'm not sure if anyone's ever got those in their country, but there were HARIBO brand candies that were shaped like an old cola bottle and had cola flavour. Kola? Never heard that though AG.

I had the same problem that you mention with "ntolmadakia" a Greek food. It hit me so bad in my stomach, (like a scissor ripping it apart) that every time I think about it, and/or smell something similar, I almost throw up.

We have these here all the time. And I eat 'em all the time. I'll send you ten packets if you pay the price, plus a 500 Euros base fee.

Icey

are they the gummie cola bottles like the gummie bears

The forum rules are one thing, another is that you still - how did Andail put it - write like you're typing in your mobile phone while running away from a fire... so reading your posts is not a pleasure.

Is it just me, or do they do this with cherry flavour as well... I'd be really interested to find out who the first companies/products that developed these flavours were.

Stupot

It's the same with crisps... for example  all brands of 'Roast Chicken' flavour crisps all have that familiar Roast Chicken 'Flavour' going on, but in no way do they taste anything remotely like Roast Chicken.
